Saved from what, common sense? THEY are the ones who need saving from their deluded beliefs.

We are not the ones who save, only God is- But we share his wonderful truth because He calls us to. He is giving you an oppurtunity right now in this life, to receive His free gift of salvation....and many turn it down, if you died today you would ok knowing there is a heaven and hell? Does it all concern you? Do you think we come here to show off? NO! I am not better than you at all---I care about others, and I want them to know the love of Christ- to know they can have eternal life with Him in heaven and that there is a hell, which is where sinners go who have rejected Christ- because God is Just and Holy- and He has no sin, and cannot even be in the presence of sin. What He did was awesome--and it saddens me that many refuse to believe, that many not only refuse to believe but they blasphemy Him. When in the end, He will judge- and hold every one of us accountable. You may not believe that, but what if you died today and realized it was true? What then? If it is not true, than nothing happens, but what if it is true?

Yes it does annoy me. I agree that they need saving, so would they. It isn't, however, their beliefs which are deluded, it's their interpretation of the beliefs and the negative relationships which some of them possess between heart and mind and faith and reason. Some things work better than others and these, too, can become dysfunctional. those flaming fundamentalists who try to get us saved are a good example. fortunately, their number is on the decline.

*It makes them feel good when they""lead someone to Christ" They claim God gets the glory, but they don't mind bragging aout it.

Yes it bugs the daylights out of me, but they did it when I was a Christian. They like to try and get people from different churches to go to their church, but they will also say it does not matter what church you go to, but if they do happen to get you to change, it is another soul they saved.

I used to have to carry a bible around with me everywhere because I needed to have a bible to defend my religious conviction because too many Baptists, Pentecostals especially tried to convert me to their way and try and tell me I was in a cult and headed to hell, so I had to defend my belief by having a bible available. That is why I still know so much scripture today and can answer bible questions although I am pagan now.

Now that I am pagan, you would think these same people would rally toward me and really try and "save" my soul, but amazingly enough they now leave me alone. when they try to convert me now, I just say I am pagan, wiccan to be exact, and they get a funny look on their faces and leave me alone as fast as they can. I like that.*

I'm a Christian and I understand how you feel. I try not to force Christianity on my friends, but sometimes it's hard. I'm sry If there's someone who's really annoying you by witnessing, And I just want you to know that you need salvation and don't wait cause you never know when it'll be too late.

everyone is lost in their own way. not that i am supporting christians, or you. im simply saying the are doing what they have been taught is right. most of them grew up around it...so to them its nothing more than there life style. and yes, even though its annoying as hell, if anything, have pitty that they dont see what they are missing.

i just find it frusterating that they make themselves the God by trying to "save" you.

if god wanted me, wouldnt "HE" save me?

who says that normal average people get to "save" me. seems a little weird for such an apparently big event for a human to do.

oh but thats right..."God" told them to do it...

hmm.

i guess if ur raised that way u dont know better.

First of all, they are not delusional. Many of us have had experiences which confirm their beliefs.
Second of all, they are trying to tell you about Jesus because they care about you.Think about it.They are putting themselves on the line, risking ridicule and bad treatment,to try and tell you so that you won't be eternally sperated from God.They are doing it because they care about you a lot.If you were a cancer patient, would you think that someone else would be loving if they refused to tell you about the only treatment that could save you? It's the same principle.

You have as much tolerance as a fundamentally religious person. Does it serve you any purpose to concern yourself with someone who is set in their ways? People are who they are and unless they are fairly open minded to listen to another's side, you are completely wasting their time and your energy to fuss over it. I may not agree with what others say but I accept that they are going to believe what they are going to believe. If someone wants to hear my views then I will be asked about them. I don't preach to people. Having tolerance means acknowledging someone's differences without insulting them or telling them they're wrong when in all actuality, none of us are complete right. I don't waste my time being annoyed with people who don't agree with me.

the Street preachers are the most annoying of all.
You just want to do some shopping and you have to listen to some deranged godbotherer spouting crap.
try turning the tables and quote this bible verse an see what crap they try to justify it lol.

But when you pray,go into your room (or closet)
and shut the door and pray to your father in SECRET...
(Mathew 6:5-6 RSV)

Christians continuously pray in public eg STREET CORNERS etc in direct violation to the god they pray to!!!
what a bunch of hypocrite's lol

If you were driving down the road and the bridge ahead had just collapsed, would you want me to stop you? Or would you rather that I just let you drive into the river, even though I knew that there was danger ahead?

Maybe we love you and don't want to see you die without knowing Jesus as your Savior. Accuse me of anything else you want to, but don't say that I don't care about what happens to you.

YES, i don't mind if they are trying to have a conversation about why THEY beleive what they beleive, but when they won't listen to your own beleif (i am an athiest) all of a sudden im burning in hell and the conversation gets to a defensive plea to save me, i have to walk away from that type of false rationality
