Knowledge - no
Wisdom - yes
You can gain the knowledge of the answer to life, the universe, and everything from a book. But gaining the wisdom to understand the question takes a lifetime.

This is an either-or question. But the truth of one does not exclude the truth of the other.
Knowledge and wisdom are gained over time, but how is knowledge and wisdom gained? Are you going to declare that books are not satisfactory sources for knowledge and wisdom?
Really, both are true. Knowledge and wisdom can be gained over time, and they also can be handed over in one day in a book.

Neither. A foundational level of knowledge and wisdom can be written in a book; much like a parent can tell a child 'do this' or 'do not do that'. However, the deeper meanings of 'do this' or 'do not do that' make take awhile to learn/appreciate.

according to the Bible Knowledge was given to mankind for disobeying god and eating of the fruit of the tree of "the knowledge of good and evil." so if you believe in a literal bible, Knowledge can be acquired in one bite.

Yeah, it is better that way, it Takes Time for the Mind to Change when it Hears Truth.
You can Mind Trip some People by Telling them too much too fast.
Twilight Zone--but they'll come back if you do it, Holy Spirit won't let them get too far Away.

That's exactly why I think people shouldn't read the bible until they have enough common sense to understand what it says. Too many people read it without any understanding of its meaning. Those people are the ones who become hatemongers.
