Yes and the answers vary from Santa Clause to the Easter Bunny to the man who delivers the groceries.

My favorite one was when a friend asked his son who Jesus was in a painting and his son told him "that is God". My friend corrected him , "No that is Jesus". After the boy left I told my friend, that he was looking at the painting too literally. The Artist was trying to paint Jesus as God. You had to look at all the symbolisms. The boy in his simple way saw that this was not a picture of a man but a picture of a deity. No complication. Just a statement of what he saw in front of him.

Still, if I had painted Hitler in that same manner the boy would have said God as well.

It is disturbing when you think about it.

normal stuff god made the world and people. god is just the way we are with each other.

when she was almost 4 my daughter did creep us out once when she got of bed and said god was in the corner of her bedroom telling at her to stop playing and close her eyes, and would i please come tell him to hush she can't sleep when there's talking. i'm jewish, and not usually freaked out by that kind of thing, but i just let her sleep in our room for a few days rather than go in her room to investigate! lol

My nephew is three. I REALLY dislike the fact that his father is taking him to church (my sis and his father are broken up) because I know they're brainwashing him. If they let him come to his own conclusions, he'd think differently.

Brainwash them young enough, they'll just spout what you said right back at you.
