I've noticed in this forum & in talking to many non-Christians, that one of their biggest complaints about Christians is that we are so judgmental & arrogant in how we come across. Is it really effective to reach out to others by showing them that we think we are better, more righteous, or more likely to go to Heaven than they are? Do we not get that being judgmental & condemning in our attitude actually turns people OFF? We can have our views & share our faith, but we need to do so in a way that accepts others for who they are & does not act like we are trying to change them. Only God can change a person's heart. It's not our place. It's our job to love one another the way Christ loves all of us. We all sin. When Christians sin & then we tell others they are sinners & going to hell, they see us as hypocrites. We don't have to accept sin, but we can love everyone & show basic respect. My question is, how many Christians will commit to walking the walk instead of just talking the talk?

Did you fall to your face in awe of the grace and love of the truth you had just found, and were you grateful for what scientists have done for you?

Were you filled with eternal joy and peace that passes all understanding?

Did you surrender your faith and heart to logic and reason?

Anyone think that the approval and disapproval of historical documents is a crime against humanity?

Go to Sacred-Texts.com and read the WHOLE BIBLE, not just the edited and approved versions. YOu will also see that all religions hold the same basic values, it's the editors and powers of the times that screwed up the message. The word of our creator is written, but people screwed it up. The best way to get all the pieces is to study all the religions, even the ones you think you hate and know nothing about and God will show you the truths in them and help you seperate men's lies from the creator's truth. Never stop seeking for the Truth!

Why are you assuming Im attacking you? I saw this topic on the news and am simply regurgitating the information I saw. Can you not see how intolerant you are as you accuse me of generalizing, hatemongering etc. Who are the real hate mongers? This topic is a real issue and has nothing to do with me promoting hatred between people!

Explain why the Qur'an says to only fight in self-defence and to desist when your enemies want peace:

[2.190] And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits.
[2.191] And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.
[2.192] But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
[2.193] And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors.

By "theists" in this case, I mean those that believe in an afterlife. If you are constantly believing that your good deeds will be rewarded in the afterlife, doesn't that mean that you're really doing the good deeds for yourself?
