You are asking for a generalisation, so I shall give you one - atheists. If only because the most intelligent people tend to be atheists (using a loose definition of not believing in a personal god). This includes the top scientists such as Einstein and Hawking.
There are two counter-arguments to this position, and I'll get to them now. Firstly, if you look at top scientists, then Darwin, Newton, etc were Christians... I'd say this is irrelevant due to when they lived. Being an atheist would have been hazardous to their health, so whatever they believed they would have claimed to be Christians. I am not saying they weren't - just that it doesn't compare to the current time.
Secondly, as a generalisation it may technically be correct. But you get smart Christians (I know several) and you get stupid atheists (again, I know several). But the process of becoming an atheist usually involves questioning your beliefs and that is an intellectual exercise - so there are *probably* fewer stupid atheists.

I doubt you could guage it either way. There are intellegent people on both sides, Christianity is a matter of faith, it doesn't work like a formula, this would make how intellegent you are somewhat irrelevant. However, is it smarter to strive for an eternal life blessed by God, what have I lost if I'm wrong?

For everlasting life the christian obviously has made a wiser
(and really the only) decision for his/her life. As far as IQ levels,
that depends on the individual christian or atheist.

It has nothing to do with religious beliefs, or lack thereof. It depends on the person. Some Christians are smarter, some atheists are smarter.

What an arrogant question!! I suppose you buy into the absolute of IQ tests also.
I would suppose that on average you would find that believers in both religions would be equally as smart. Too bad you don't have enough respect or tolerance for those of opposing beliefs to do anything but resort to insults.

I'm biased but generally speaking I do believe atheists would come out ahead in an intelligence test.

they are about the same because the Christian faith is a gift. It does not depend on ones intellect. I have known alot of academic dummies in my life anyway.

Those who dont believe in God are considered fools by God. That being said I think it's up to the individual and their dna to really determine who is smarter...
