I have a friend that was insulted at work. shes recently converted to Christianity and was excited about it. i dont know why people have a problem with christians talking about God. Our beliefs are to NOT hurt people, NOT judge, NOT lie, NOT steal, NOT cheat! I personally believe we could use a little more of this belief system in our world. anyway...she was talking to ANOTHER Christian and a girl turned around and said " oh great, another Jesus freak" after looking her up and down. As followers of Christ we dont force our beliefs on others we aren't supposed to. Christ didn't force us to accept him. he let us have a choice.how can we force others? we can only spread his word thats our JOB .....WHAT IS WITH THE HOSTILITY TOWARDS A PEACE LOVING PEOPLE? can you seriously and honestly tell me what you have against us?

What do I buy my niece for her first communion. She is about 7. I think they are catholics ( as you might have guessed, I'm not very religious, but it will be a great party afterwards).

Ok I very much understand that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.. but what about the people that lived and died before jesus? Or were there such people? And what do you think happened to the people that put jesus on the cross? Didn't jesus say to forgive them? I'm learning so bare with me here. Thanks

Once you realize that there is no self-essence, then the clinging stops. Once that is achieved then one is liberated from all of the chains of existence. If we are not "selves" but part of the universe, then it is pointless to evolve. The universe is fine the way it is. Evolution suggest that life isn't satisfied with the universe, so it strives for better.
