With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

"As followers of Christ we dont force our beliefs on others we aren't supposed to"
That's a lie and everyone here knows it. There are perfectly good Chrstians, and then there are the ones that shove their beliefs down everyone's throat. You are to "share the gospel" aren't you? That's codeword for convert everyone in sight. Don't believe me? Ask the people standing at the corner of the Jewish day school handing out pamphlets. Ever see the movie "J*sus Camp?" yeah. THAT'S what I have wrong with SOME of you Chr*stians. Not all are bad, but the ones that are give the reputation to the whole group.

I think there are a few bad eggs in the Christian population that get all of the press, and it makes the rest of the Christians look bad. In our culture, people love to dig up dirt on other people and groups, and love to judge many based on the actions of few. I recommend your friend be an example of Christ through her love, honesty, dilligence, and work ethic. People will come around.
Also, in the workplace (or school) environment, I find its best not to talk about your faith unless someone asks you about it. And even then, keep it a private conversation. I believe that God will give you the opportunity to speak to a coworker when the time is right and your coworker's heart is open.

First of all you are not the only religion that has values of peace, love truth etc.
Your religion just hijacked them and believers think they are the only ones who practice such values - you even call them Christian values when they were around long before Christianity existed.
There are people who have no religion that have these values, so stop calling them your own.
Next, you are commanded by your god to spread your religion, so you DO try to tell people about it, some more forceful than others.

Peace loving people? The symbol of your religion , the crucifix. Is a device used to torture people to death while in plain view of others.
Here in the UK the shops and bars close early or don`t open at all because of Christians
Adolf Hitler was a christian
George Bush is a christian
thousands of pagan women where killed through out Europe buy burning....Wasn`t the Buddhists doing it now was it?

I am in total agreement with white russian. I can't wear one piece of my "religious" jewelry without being looked at funny, pre-judged and reported for wearing offensive symbols. You ask why some people are hostile towards Xians.....there you go. When you get fired for wearing a cross to work then you can cry persecution.
Personal experience: Someone who was devoutly xian made it her business to remove items from my desk (that was not even in direct view of hers) because she found them offensive to her xian values. THAT is disrespectful. BTW - the items in question....a small (3 inches tall) pewter dragon with red jewel eyes and hand drawn pentacle (2 inches in diameter) tacked to the wall above the dragon. Neither were in plain sight. I wanted to go rip every cross in her cubicle down (all 12 of them) but I didn't. Hmmmm. Not long after that I was fired......wonder why?

Unless your friend works at a church, then short of small, tasteful, and subtle religious items on her desk, religion has no business at ALL in the workplace.
Your friend was entirely in the wrong if she talked religion while at work.
Small and subtle might include a cross figure on the desk or in a corner of a chalk/dry-erase board penning a small meaningful saying. I'm an atheist but I have, in Hebrew, 'Shema Yisrael, ---- Eloheinu, ---- Echad' on my board off to one side, just under a line drawing of the FSM and WWFSMD.
Both are small, both are subtle and simple. Meaningful to me and not distracting to others.
Me talking about it would be way inappropriate.

I would not call someone a Jesus freak unless they were acting in a way that attempted to make their beliefs my laws. In other words...believe what you want...but once you try and make your beliefs law...expect me to fight back....loudly.
You can consider it your job to spread the world, but I consider it my job to insult and badger people who think they have the ability to convert others, or know what's best for them. In other words.....believe what you want...but keep it personal. Once you start telling me what to believe, or lecturing me, you are now open to counter missionary work. This might include insults...like Jesus freak.
When people mind their business, I mind mine.

Faith requires one to "turn-off" the part of the mind that deals with rational thought. Faith is, for the most part, non-thought.
Non-believers simply want there to be more people pursuing actual knowledge about the world around us. This will ensure our growth and survival as a species. Claiming a deity is simply a shrug of the shoulders...an "I dunno"...so to speak.
Christians use the slogan of "Truth". That is such a far cry from what it actually is: Intellectual Paralysis
