Somewhere I heard that during biblical times, it was common for people to use drugs 2-3 times a day, especially holy men. They used drugs to "enhance" or create their interface with God. Does anybody know anything about this? Tell me everything you know.

I am just now getting into crystal therapy, and I am about to cleanse a bunch of new rocks that I bought a week ago. I am adding 1/8 of a cup of sea salt to 1 cup of purified water. What should I do with the salt after I have used it? Is it reusable or should I throw it away?

After all, isn't homosexuality against God's law and if they believe in God so how can they be gay preachers or be allowed to marry homosexual couples? Isn't that a little bit of sacrilegious?

Every time I turn on CNN and there's footage of 500 brown people wearing turbans, standing in the middle of some bombed-out street somewhere, shaking their AK-47s in the air, and chanting slogans in some goofy-@ss foreign language, the anchorperson always says:

"And this is footage shot earlier today in the Holy City of Mooga Booga Doo Da (or wherever)."

When I picture a "holy city," I picture a city full of devoutly religious people who peacefully go about their business.

Apparently, their version of "holy" differs from mine, eh?

And you,
You bring me to my knees, again,
All the times
That I could beg you please, in vain,
All the times
That I felt insecure, for you
And I leave
My burdens at the door

Chorus:
But I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you

All the times that I felt like this won't end
Its for you
And I taste what I could never have
It was from you
All the times that I've cried
My intentions, full of pride
But I waste more time than anyone

Chorus:
But I'm on the outside
And I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you

All the times that I've cried
All this wasted, it's all inside
And I feel, all this pain
I stuffed it down, it's back again
And I lie, here in bed
All alone, I can't mend
But I feel
Tomorrow will be ok

Do you think some gods take form as new deities or 'forces'(I know not all Pagans like the word forces, since it is impersonal etc. but anyway) as time and civilization change and evolve?

I mean, surely Ra, or Thoth would make a plan to share their knowledge with humans if Egyptian beliefs were forgotten. Maybe we never really know which deity we commune with, maybe it is all part of the same pantheist god. How do you test which deity or spirit you interact with?

(I am thinking of asking the 'deity' a questions that would reveal information to make my beliefs more clear, I normally ask them for things for myself (I guess I am a bit greedy, oh well), I thought it is just nature, psychology and science, but now I am starting to question the mythos, it may be more true than what I expected.)
So do you think the gods ‘shapeshift’?

they must see a lot of butt munching going on and therefore love those who are munching butt. Just a thought that came to mind, which if you follow it through to it`s conclusion, means that if you munch butt god would be there to watch you doing it and love you for it, and jesus would too for that matter.

A theist has been emailing me saying about how offensive and how intolerant I am.

I asked him to copy and paste one of my intolerant questions and he said that if I can't see it then it doesn't make sense for him to post it.

I have over 2000 questions and over 5000 answers. If I'm so intolerant couldn't he have at least provided 1 example of this?

- Take care of the poorest and there will be peace and harmony.

- Take care of the earth and there will be safety and sustinance.

So humanity will chose to live in heaven, or hell. Where are we with this? How are Evangelicals contributing?

I have been looking into Paganism for a while now and feel lost. Without a guide who is educated in all paths of Paganism. How will I ever find which ones which ones are genuinely commited to nature.

I have always had a connection with nature, animals and tranquility. I know there is something out there that I can embrace and share with others. I'm not a god worshiper, nor do I believe in the devil. I feel the power in nature and want to embrace it.

Maybe I dont need a "label" for what I feel, I just think that there maybe like-minded people that want to share this feeling?

Has anyone else felt this way?
