According to Greek myths Gorgons turned them into stone.
Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt not the same thing.
When God says don't do something .. don't!

No gorgon turned people to salt - medusa and her two sisters turned people to stone.
Her two sisters were immortal unlike her and are alive and well. I hear they own a delicatessan in southern france now.

Not really - she was told not to look or else she would turn into a pillar of salt. There is no written text that goes on to suggest she looked into the eyes of some woman with snakes for hair!

Lot's wife was a victim of herself.
she was told, by the angels of God, not to look back at what was happening.
