It was an honor to be there with you my love as you did this for this man with cancer. You were such an inspiration to him and gave him hope --no matter what his destiny may end up being, his faith in the Lord and yours gave him some peace and it touched his heart.
It touched my heart to watch and listen as you gave your testimony Then as he and I held hands with you and listened as you prayed, It was a powerful moving moment and as you well know-- I was so very proud of you and so humbled by the good you had done that day.
God Bless you !!

Yes, I have been led to minister to people. The worst feeling in the world is when the spirit nudges you to talk to someone who is hurting or do something for them and you just stand there too scared, without courage.
Specifically, (after a few wasted chances) I was able to befriend a blind, elderly man at the local nursing home. He didn't have any family, was very lonely, and was a war veteran. He told me his stories and we went for walks- he with his cane, me on my roller blades. It was a wonderful time.

I can't imagine what awesome stories the elderly are never able to pass on because we young people are too busy to stop and listen. We just shuffle them away into a home once they get inconvenient. But back to your original question:
once I was able to overcome my fears and step out of my comfort zone, reaching out to others became a pleasure, not a chore I have to do just because I am a Christian.

One time I thanked an acquaintance for leading me toward the Lord some twenty years earlier. Suddenly he started crying and said as long as I live I would never know how bad he needed to hear what I had just told him. He had been repeatedly beat down by the mockers and atheists. He had prayed for a word of encouragement. I believe God had led us together and led me to tell him what I told him.

Yes God has blessed you ,You gave and he gave back .
Yes this has happened in my life quite often .A couple of times I started to go on about my business but this over whelming feeling came over me to go back , After I did and did what God moved me to do, I got tears in my eyes, and I felt on top of the world .My prayer every day includes "Use my body for your service ,that I may be your hands here on earth."
All the good you do comes from God ,And all the bad comes from the flesh . you deserve a star and a jewel in your crown :)

Yes! and each time He uses me in some special way whether through prayer, encouragement, meeting a physical need or whatever, it lets me feel the joy that I give to my Lord. There is nothing quite like knowing you really helped someone and made the Lord happy at the same time!

When I was younger and alone in the house while my mother went shopping, I ran out of the house to help an elderly lady carry one of her two grocery bags uphill to her house. Afterwards, she gave me milk and cookies she had just bought. Then, she phoned my mother to tell her about her daughter's good deed. The odd part of it was that I felt this overwhelming urge to help somebody (before I ever saw the struggling lady through my porch windows).

Yes, one time I worked so many hours at work that my boss gave me an extra check. However, I knew that extra money was not for me. Later that day, I got a call from a man in the hospital who was very sick. I went to visit him and he told me how his wife and children needed a certain amount of money for their rent. The Lord put it on my heart to give him the money from the extra check.

Yes he led me to a friend who had been having seizures and didn't know it and I discovered it one day when we were having a sleep over and helped save her life. I got her to the hospital and told them what had happen they found a tumor in her brain and removed it in time. If i hadn't been their their that day it may have been a while before she found out and maybe to late.

good for you! we need more people like you, who have heart! i was an alcoholic on the streets and was hopeless but people helped me, so now, i am sober for years, and try to do gods will by helping others in need! watching a young person give up drugs or alcohol and lead a good life brings me joy! sometimes the lord will lead you to a person! and one word of kindness or a kind gesture is all that is needed for that person to feel better! this world needs more of this, and less of the greedy, materialistic, violent people we see now!

God didn't lead you to do that, you led yourself, and I respect you for being such a good person. It's great to make a difference in someones life, but often we always shoot for big ideas on how to change the world or someones life. Really, the little things can be just as important, and you proved this.
