- Take care of the poorest and there will be peace and harmony.

- Take care of the earth and there will be safety and sustinance.

So humanity will chose to live in heaven, or hell. Where are we with this? How are Evangelicals contributing?

What makes ya think that if we take care of the poorest there would be peace and harmony in the world?
What makes you think that if we took better care of the earth that it would result in safety and sustinance?
This earth age is exactly for humanity to make a choice between God and Satan. Where are we with this? Right smack in the middle of the plan - you can hear the choices that have been made by reading the answers on this forum.
I have no idea how the Evangelicals are contributing - i quess some are by speaking the truth, others are not by telling silly lies about the earth only being 6000 years old.
(yes, i'm christian)

You forget that God has said he is going to DESTROY this earth. It also says that we will have bodies like that of the angels and there will be no marriage anymore.

If youre going to reduce the Gospel to taking care of the poor and being an environmentalist then youre really missing the point. Jesus taught that this world is evil filled with evil people and that HE was the light of the world. Therefore Christians are the only ones sharing this light to the world as well as doing good works for 2000 years strong. The Q should be, what are unbelievers doing to help anybody? The things they teach send people to hell and I dont see them making much progress even in an earthly sense at all! Only advocating their silly agendas.

There is nothing to support your 2 suppositions.

In fact, Jesus said we would always have the poor with us.

What does taking care of the Earth have to do with safety?

The point I think you are missing, is that this all depends on people. Until you get everyone to work together for the common good, there willl be no Utopia.

So, in effect, there will never be a Utopia. Only Heaven on Earth when Jesus returns.

That is a matter of opinion. The welfare system before Bush tried taking care of the poor and ended up with generations of welfare recipients. Didn't Jesus teach: Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a life time. I believe God is a loving God who will bring peace and harmony with Him. People have yet to be able to accomplish it.

When you give bread to your neighbor, you feed yourself.
When you care for the sick, you also heal yourself.
When you comfort someone who is dying, you comfort yourself.

Evangelicals are to preach the good news, as they have decided to present it, in such a way that it's meaning escapes even them.

many christians today have no concept of the true message of Jesus because they have allowed the wool to be pulled over their eyes and have his words spoon fed to them so they need not contemplate it. Sheep to the Wolves they are.

You are living in hell now. Don't be buffaloed into the bullsh&t by your church. When you die you will go to a higher vibration.
