Why are you assuming Im attacking you? I saw this topic on the news and am simply regurgitating the information I saw. Can you not see how intolerant you are as you accuse me of generalizing, hatemongering etc. Who are the real hate mongers? This topic is a real issue and has nothing to do with me promoting hatred between people!

I dont know why people are accusing me of accussing people of intolerance. I saw the topic of Atheism in Christian societies in America by Paula Zahn I think it was and was regurgitating the information I saw on the program The previous question did not have the sources from which I drew my question from so it is understandable for people to misinterpret my question as hatemongering. The issue was on Christianity's persecution on the Atheists today which is happening.

This question had to have more to it some place else. I never thought that you were attacking me. I don't recall accusing you of anything. I guess it's hate not to have known you before you asked this question... Sorry Jim

Doesn't your original question assume the intolerance? Isn't that what your accusing the Christians of? So, If I'm getting this right you can make broad generalizations about Christians but when Christians do it it's wrong. Peddling a double standard aren't you? If you get defensive, accusatory answers then perhaps you should rethink the wording of your question.

Personally I'll only tolerate a Xtian (or anyone else for that matter) in as much as they tolerate me... I'm not in the business of forgiveness nor saving souls.. Not my job man... But I certainly will and do unto others as they do unto me... I really dont mind someone discussing thier religion with me (theology is a hobby) Or even literature.. what I do mind is agressive attempts at conversion (I'm Pagan) Trust me its NOT gonna happen...

I'm prob safer than any Xtian.. I believe in ALL GODS (OK so I'm not taking any chances) Nor do i have a problem fitting em all into my concept of what is.. Even the xtian GOD never claimed he was the only GOD.. far from it.. In fact states several times the plural of Gods... (man has become as "WE"?) and there isnt even a restriction barring other GODS.. that commandment sez.. Thou shalt have no other GODS before me (meaning simply I'm just #1 in the pecking order for the chosen people) dosent say thou shalt have no other gods does it? And before someon starts.. False Gods are covered in another commandment.. different story..

What news topic? All I see is a blanket attack against Christians as being "intolerant".....

Based on just this post...I think I can make a fairly accurate determination who the "real hate monger" is. I could be wrong though....

I wasn't assuming you were attack anyone. I WAS assuming you had a question. You didn't, which is a violation of the community guidelines. But to show the not all Christians are intolerant, we'll let it go this time.... (LOL)

from past experience, I can say, no you dont realize at the time that you are being intolerant.

Christianity in its "finest" teaches exclusivity. They think that it is soo sad that you dont see the truth. They dont think they are being hateful to you, they think they are doing you a service of telling you what your fate is if you dont repent.

Its like that thing, when you are in a situation you cannot see what is really going on. You must step out of the situation to see what is really happening.

So, you see something on the news and automatically believe what ever is promoted is true of all Christians. How very thoughtful and intelligent of you. You might do a little of your own investigation before passing on poorly informed, rhetoric of a liberal driven press.

I always thought women in ancient Israel were thrilled to know they would be killed for consensual sex before marriage, or in the event they were raped, forced to marry their rapist. So much for the tolerant nature of god.

Christians are tolerant by nature.
The Bible is about peace, love, tolerance and forgiveness. Right ?
