I've noticed in this forum & in talking to many non-Christians, that one of their biggest complaints about Christians is that we are so judgmental & arrogant in how we come across. Is it really effective to reach out to others by showing them that we think we are better, more righteous, or more likely to go to Heaven than they are? Do we not get that being judgmental & condemning in our attitude actually turns people OFF? We can have our views & share our faith, but we need to do so in a way that accepts others for who they are & does not act like we are trying to change them. Only God can change a person's heart. It's not our place. It's our job to love one another the way Christ loves all of us. We all sin. When Christians sin & then we tell others they are sinners & going to hell, they see us as hypocrites. We don't have to accept sin, but we can love everyone & show basic respect. My question is, how many Christians will commit to walking the walk instead of just talking the talk?

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. " - Luke 6: 37

"Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.
And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye." - Matthew 7:1-5

the problem is that many christians r too judgemental. God is supposed to judge, not us. christians arent perfect so why should we judge people for not being perfect. and sometimes christinas judge people for things that they're r trying to stop(such as drug addiction) and dont realize that the poeple want to stop and christians just start telling them that they r going to hell. we are supposed to love people no matter what they do and try to show them what they've done is wrong. and that God loves everyone no matter what and will give them a second chance with a clean slate!

It's kind of similar to the people who love us. Those who love us seem to be critical because they care and don't want us to make mistakes that we will regret later in life. I think Christians feel that way. Most of us may come across as being critical and judgmental but it's because we don't want to see others suffering and not having that inner peace and joy that we have by trusting in God. Some are just plain immature.

Don't name or title thing representing one party. The thing happenned are only human errors not represent one party or group. As in bible; Christ said the ending time of world, there will be a lot of name Christ and against Christ. We cannot say Christian is the best and other are under level. Then your heart is not equal and your view will not equal.

This makes me sad as well...when I hear anyone being judgemental of another, but especially those who profess to be Christian. A Christian has an opportunity to show the love of God, and the goodness of God, but many times messes that opportunity up by behaving 'holier than thou'. This is so wrong. I believe that being a Christian, we are given an even bigger responsibility of showing love and kindness. Being judgemental is being a hypocrite. Should one have a 'concern' for anothers way of living, a Christian should PRAY for that person, and show them love. Not be hateful and/or judgemental.
Very good question!! Thank you for posting it!

Pride is one of those root sins that encompasses many others. We forget about the logs in our own eyes. At the same time, some people feel judged when no judging is taking place. Perceptions are hard to deal with.

Remember that God says that it is His kindness that leads us to repentance. People don't really give their hearts to God out of a fear of hell or whatever. They give their heart to one they trust and feel loved by. Yeah, we need to remember that.

What Christians do once they make the alternative to maintain on with Jesus is needed. most of the hot testomony is about a thanks to attempt this and this is totally sparkling that Christians are held at a larger aspect of responsibility because all of us understand more effective powerful - we've God's be conscious and Jesus because the example. God also judges the middle, human beings might want to practice hypocrisy and nevertheless declare Jesus yet God is conscious the reality and he says that all of us ought to reply to to Him quicker or later. Christians will be judged for what they have finished with what they have frequent. it would want to also be made frequent who's a real Christian and who isn't. The Bible also says that Jesus will reign for a million,000 years and then devil will be released again to reason havoc previously finally being thrown interior the Lake of fireplace forever. It says that some will turn their again on Him in this time. i trust this can be the attempting out time in case you made their determination yet did no longer have the threat to positioned their faith in action. it is going to deal with those who made deathbed conversions etc. you are able to't keep stealing and murdering and nevertheless be a Christian. you are able to't do what you already know is incorrect and get into Heaven. when we get it incorrect we are meant to repent - this is to be honestly sorry - and do our maximum perfect to not in any respect do it again. this is forgiveness is the actual Christian context. i trust with all my heart that Hitler isn't in heaven, how might want to God allow someone in who unrepentantly murdered 6 million of His chosen human beings? you are able to't keep sinning deliberately and anticipate God to think about you to be a follower of His Son Jesus, the Bible makes that very sparkling.

I know for myself I try not to be judgmental, but sometimes you get caught up in all the stuff that goes on here and your emotions take over. I am not above myself to admit when I am wrong or when someone has misinterpreted me.

It is human nature to be judgmental. Christians and non-believers alike.

It's not about who is right...it about what is right.

We all need to walk the walk. It will speak volumes over anything we could ever say.

I'm not a Christian but I would like to say you have an excellent attitude that reflects (what I believe to be) true Christian values.

I have asked this question before and yahoo answers removed it because "it wasnt an answer or a question".

I think Christians need to re-read the bible and actually follow Jesus' example.
