I need help with a Social Studies project. I've searched everywhere, and I can't find anything on where Jews started. So I want to know if anyone has a site I can go to.

Abraham, his son Isaac, and Isaac's son Jacob are the three founding fathers of Judaism. Therefore, they can be considered the "first Jews".
"Go forth from your native land and from your father's house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation..." God to Abraham. Genesis 12:1-2

purely to make sparkling 1967 become no longer began through the 'jews'. It turned right into a conflict between the Egyptians and the Israelis - it become began even as the Egyptians ORDERED the UN troops on the border to get out, and began massing Egyptian squaddies there. Egypt blocked the waterways that Israel relied upon too. those were acts of conflict - as any logical individual can see. The OT isn't the 'jewish bible'. The OT is a translation of a translation of the Tanakh, the Jewish bible. And the Israelis are the in trouble-free words u . s . in the international which have provided to help create a separate Palestinian Arab state - why hasn't Jordan provided? Or Egypt? The time period 'Palestinian' continually suggested both Jews AND Arabs. 'silencer of the lambs' - no, you probably did no longer ought to, actual. i recognize it is only a comic tale to you - yet notwithstanding, you do not have this stuff screamed at you as you walk homestead from synagogue.

Abraham the father of the Jews was born in Ur, of the Chaldeans, located in what is now Iraq. The Jews however became a nation at Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia when the ten commandments and other laws were given.

Read the Old Testament. Adam and Eve were the start of the Jewish nation. They were the first to be enlightened about Monotheistic Belief. This will show you also some truth about Adam and Eve not as the first man and woman on earth but there were people before them. Good luck and I hope you will find it.

The Jewish calendar I believe is about 5760 (?). It is supposed to have started with Abraham. But it is even older than that. I believe the Hyksos were called in pharaonic Egyptian, the Hubarus ( Hebrews ?). They were allowed into Egypt because they knew how to make wine from grapes of which, the pharaohs did not know the technique.

The Jewish nation and people are from the Hebrew people placed in Israel by God Himself. A great resource would be the book of Genesis. From there.....you can go to the next book, Exodus and onto Leviticus for help on the system of Law (Law of Moses).

look in genesis 1. Jewish history started at the beginning of the world. (This is their perception) Adam and Eve, continued with their children and so one. If you read Genesis, you will get the history of when the Jews began.

Abraham was the first Jew.
If you do a search at www.biblegateway.com or www.bible.com
You will be able to find all of it in Genesis.
