It shouldn't be too hard to find a silent, invisible, pink Jesus...come to think of it... that sounds like the one most denominations represent doesn't it?

Then please explain to me how you can believe also in Joseph Smiths teachings as well as the Book of Mormon.

These scriptures are from the bible - which you claim to believe as truth.

1 Kings 13 tells a story of a prohpet who is told by the Lord to do something. Another older prophet comes along and tells the prophet that God wants him (the first prophet) to come to his house (which was a contradiction to what God told him to do). The prophet then goes to the older prophets house in direct disobediance to God.
He ends up dying because he followed a prophet who told him to go a way OTHER than what the Lord had said. **Go read it**

Mormon doctrine teaches that Jesus is not God. How then, do you explain this verse?

2 John 1:7 states - Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Do you believe that it is God who saves us? Do you give yourself any credit?
For Jesus says "No one can come to me unless the Father draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day" John 6:44
It is not of ourselves, but the gift of God, and it is the power of God in us that draws us and saves us.
Romans 3:10 "No one is good, no one seeks after God"
--Do you believe this? Do you give yourself credit for being saved by Jesus Christ? Do you believe you are the one who found Him or do you believe He found you?

I am wondering about this question because it seems as though only Christians or those who have faith can become president. Atheists are more hated than homosexuals by Christians and I know the majority of our population is Christian. Dont you think this ideology is discrimintory?

how bout wanting your child to learn instead? why not want your child to become a useful member to society? to teach them job related skills?

how many jobs require experience in prayer to have? if i was going to hire someone, and had to choose between someone who sat and prayed during school, and someone else who did their homework. id choose the one who actually learned a thing or two.

there is no need for prayer in school. there is need for education to better society.

so why are you all bent on wanting kids to pray in school?

Has anyone ever heard of/seen a 'wheel of life'? How do I fill mine in? It looks kind of like a pie chart and it's got fields for 'education', 'finances', 'creativity', 'career', 'health', 'joy', 'social life', 'relationships', 'home environment', and 'spirituality'.

I mean why are we asking God to heal us, take away the pain that I have, and he is not even listening.

I am ready to die right now. I am serious my job has caused me so much misery and I don't know what to do.

Why do we believe that God exists when in actuality he doesn't

Don't tell me something about the bible, I want the real God, The God that I can feel, touch, and hear.

To all of you who say you don't want prayer in school SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU!
While you are telling your kids not to pray in school, I am telling mine to do nothing BUT pray. Pray that someone does not place a bomb at your school. Pray that some maniac does not come to your school and shoot you and anyone else. Pray that when you are standing at the bus stop some one does not try to kidnapp, rape or murder you. Pray that one of the school teachers or officials don't molest you. Pray some drug dealer does not try to sell you drugs, or that a gang member don't try to intice nor hurt you. Pray that the many tragic things that happen in school Don't happen to you.
I personally think it is a shame that you keep prayer out of school, but let the devil in school. You let children celebrate halloween, a day known as the devils day. Well I have to say to all those parents that feel like me, Chritians continue to cloth your children in the armor of God! Pray in School anyway!!!!!

I lean towards the latter . It seems to me that religion is the main cause of all the trouble in the World so it would be better if we never invented it.

Leviticus 19: 17-18: Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke [reason with] thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

Damning gay people to hell isn't very loving...why is it that many Christians like to pick and choose the Biblical teachings to follow?
We are all children of God, not just the Christians, you know. You love yourself enough to engage in a commited relationship...so you should love your neighbor enough so they may also engage in a commited relationship, no? As a good Christian you should not take rights for yourself that your neighbor is not allowed...and you definetly should not deny these rights to your "neighbor".

I'm not gay, and I am a Christian, I just know many good gay people whom society is alienating for no GOOD reason save for biblical manipulation.

Just something to think about. They got it all right. The few that got it. Isn't that awesome.

What about my wife. What if she stopped doing the things I married her for. Can I love someone even though I don't like them? What is it bare boned?

Could someone explain the relationship between Solomon and the supposed sorcery he practiced. I was just asking because I read this small article that briefly mentioned this and out of curiosity I was wondering just what kind of "magic" he supposedly participated in. What kind of acts did he carry out and if so, isn't all magic against the "God rules"? Thanks.

I had warts as a child. My mother took me to doctors and nothing worked. She prayed and they went away.

I had one on my right elbow for a couple of years and I thought they come back oh well. This is now about 26 years later. Mom's dead since I'm 22. I then was about to make meatballs. I noticed something on my right ring finger. It was hard and circular and small. I said to myself, ugh, it's a wart. I then told my husband about the prayers my mama said to get rid of my warts. The next day the wart on my finger was gone.

Not only that, the wart on my elbow - which had been there for years is gone. I went to put lotion on and didn't notice that familiar bump. I had my husband look and it's gone.

Miracles happen every day. I think I said to my husband, wow, maybe mom's prayers only worked for 25 years and the next day the warts are gone, I guess prayers work forever.

That is so weird. If anyone has had an experience like that, please tell me.
