If so, please give me your best argument as to why you believe that. Thanks.

Mathematical analysis of carbon dating ages.

Where did you get the number 6,000, which I've never heard claimed? Young world/old world is the usual language. Setting that aside, no one can explain the answer in this space.

If you want actual young-world information, I would refer you, for one reference of many, to Dr. John R. Baumgardner at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He's a geophysicist with degrees from Princeton and UCLA. Happily for all of us, he's posted the very technical aspects of his answer online. Use Google.

I believe man and the animals have been on this earth for approximately that amount of time. I believe that the earth it self may be a little older. I do not believe the earth is a million years old. The reasons I would be happy to give you but it would take a lot longer than I could here. E-Mail me or answer my 360 blog and I will explain.

Not long ago, a well-respected team of creationist scientists who were working with some of the oldest rocks on the planet (about 6000 yrs) stumbled on a suspicious talking serpent. When they asked the serpent how old the earth was, the serpent lied, as all serpents do by stating "It's somewhere in the vicinity of 4.5 billion years".

The serpent was quickly taken in for further interrogation and after enduring a few hours of effective, yet humane, stress positions, it cracked and finally started telling the truth. Most of the interrogation is classified, as you may well understand, but I can tell you this. When asked again how old the earth is, the serpent replied with "Dang near 6000". Did you hear that, loser? Dang near 6000.

This is important news. Why does the liberal atheist media refuse to pick it up?

This is funny! The earth is well over 6,000 years old. There's more than enough fossils and geographical evidence. This is not a theory this is fact. It's kind of tragic that people take the bible as concrete proof.

It's amazing but yes, there are some people that believe that in the USA !
The lack of education of some people in a so called "civilized" country is absolutely spectacular. Yes, America sent the first man on the Moon but it's obvious that not all americans could go...

Yes, there are people here who believe that.
Their argument will be because God says that's how old it is.

Please realize that people believe what they want to believe. Even if it means that man was created 2,500 years after the Babylonians figured out how to brew beer.

You do not understand the Bible to even say them words, God does not and never did live inside of time and space. He lives in eternity which is outside of Time, so how can you imagine to box God inside of time. Time did not exist until Adam and Eve fell. Time did start for mankind 6 thousand years ago on this earth, but God did continue to live in Heaven outside of time.
The Universe was made outside of time and space, science is approaching the understanding to say as something reaches the speed of light it becomes pure energy and matter goes away, study light and you will know more, also time stops as you approach light speed.
Yes Time and space started 6,000 years ago and in The original creation there is no NIGHT, the days we live in are the Night time for the original creation because the Bible does say the morning and evening but not the night. We actually live where Adam and Eve are in the 6th day of creation but Lucifer is the ruler of this world creation and he will come down and live inside a man called the Anti-Christ to rule the world.
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
The Devil will come soon and kill the foolish virgins and the Jews

Yes I do believe that. My proof is the first McDonald's restaurant is recorded to have served fries with that shake six thousand Years ago as documented in the Bible. Pretty hard to argue with not one but two sorces of ultimate proof eh!?!

No argument here. I agree with you: the earth is at least 6,000 years old.

Edit: Hand...actually the Bible doesn't say that.
