What makes you think that just because you think there is evidence to support that life on earth was created, that the Creator is the one you believe in? Do you have any idea how many creation stories there have been throughout the history of man? And what makes you think that if it was created we even know who really did it? How do you know that he just isn't some watcher who hasn't even made him or herself or it known? And that everything we do is just observation without judgment? I understand how you can say things seem Created, but isn't it very illogical to pretend you know exactly who did it? * Im not realy expecting much out of your answers but I just see the design theory thrown around alot but I fail to see how your arguments make sense when you label the creator to fit your beliefs while discrediting everyone else's opinions.

I am wondering how many people belive in St. Nicolas? (Santa Claus) This is not a joke.

For those of you who do not know ( I did not know up until about 12 years ago. (I'm 40) that St. Nicolas was a real man and was buried in a place call Myra, in Turkey. I have phyically been in his Church in Turkey. I alway thought that Santa Clause was totally made up, up until I visited his Chuch. Part of how we now think about him today is just a fairy tail. However the other part is very true; he was a real person, with a very giving heart.

What are your thoughts? What do you know about him as a real person?

Its a short article by Ken Miller, Professor of Biology. Prof. Miller takes the arguments of Intelligent Design and then takes them apart. There is nothing left! Nothing! "Irreducible Complexity" is just not there.

Many on here profess to be atheists and only believe in scientific means or explanations.
Mathematics is a science.
Mathematics is accepted as being correct.
Mathematics is accepted because the book says it is so.
Mathematics is accepted on blind faith.
Applying some corelation:
God is accepted on blind faith.
God is accepted because the book says it is so.
God is accepted as being correct.
God is science
Therefore Atheist believe in God.

Now, where does the reasoning break down? I am hoping for serious answers, not just shrill trite inane ramblings.

I thought it was religious people in ancient times making this claim about going to a place called hell if people didn't follow them and give them money. They then wrote this book in a language no common folk could understand to convince them it was real.

However my brainwashed religious brother seems to think it really was written by god.

So who wrote it?

All twenty-three "psychics" I've contacted were not able to see my
life's problems, my income source, my love life, nor my past lives
(background and history). They tell me about my spouse--don't have one! They talk about promotions on the job--don't have a job.
They talk about my good health--it's terrible! They talk about my
"special" abilities--they're non-existant! They talk about my car--
don't have one! I need a really TRUE psychic who actually DOES
have the "gift". But, so far, I've found none. Please help.

I must say that it infuriates me that this fact is present... if you wish to be negative, leave the matter of God and his people to those who will show them the true essence of his nature which is love ok? Please answer the first question and leave a breif comment, I dont have alot of time on my hands. Thank you

Our Universe is physical and bounded by certain physical and scientific laws of nature like the concept of something having a beginning and an end, BUT God may inhabit a dimension where these rules and boundaries do not apply--In other words, something that we as humans cannot comprehend. What do you make of this??

Here is another question - why do people associate all good things with themselves and bad things with God? Man is responsible for his own actions - God is not responsible for your actions - we have free will and will be judged on this free will. The war in unjust war in Iraq is man made - NOT GOD MADE. The war in Afghanistan is man made - not god made. The misery and suffering of civilians in these countries is man made- not God made. Why then do people still blame God for all the bad in this world? in order to make ourselves better - we must take responsibilty for OUR own actions and not blame everything on God - blaming everything on God has turned the world we live in today a dangerous place to live. Man made problems are Man made not God made

By evolution, I mean transform into a positive manner by:
* analyzing past mistakes and taking steps to prevent them
* find inconsistencies and holes in the belief system and rectify them
* make an earnest effort to find the real truth, specially in the bible. Find out what is the spiritual truth being said in the bible or by Jesus and elaborate on them, and excise out and correct all perversions and corruptions of the truth.

I have given up on Islam evolving and progressing, but Christianity?

Im sorry if I did not make myself clear in my question regarding whether or not atheists are trusting individuals. I was not bashing them. I really wanted to know. The people I know that are claimed atheists seem to hate the whole world and trust no one. Sorry if I offended anyone. Not my intent.

I for one salute it greatly. The world would be rather bland if everyone thought or believed the same. The only problem I see, is lack of respect. A bad root, that led to a bad tree. I think those apples are rotten:)

What do you think? What is your veiw on individuality?
