Any of your choices are your own will. You are being enticed one way or the other. It is you who chooses who to listen to. If you make wrong choices, though, it could be hard on you. For instance, you smoke. Most people I know who smoke have tried to quit many times, and it is extremely difficult for them to do so, even though they don't enjoy smoking anymore. The choice to smoke or not has been taken away from them because they made a choice which actually lost agency from them. Those who have continually chosen not to smoke still have that option, while those who have chosen to smoke have lost it. God's will leads us to freedom and eternal life. Satan's will leads us to bondage and destruction. It is not God's will that you smoke, but Satan's. And it is you who chose to do it.
That being said, we are all human and all make poor choices. The only way we can be released from the bondage we put ourselves into is through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

In the Bible also it is said, "THY(HIS) or GOD's Will shall be done". Also God willed and said, let there be light and there was light. If we will and say, let there be light, there shall not be light.
Our will is subordinate to the will of HIS will. But, if we want to desire or will separate from that of the Lord, it becomes incompatible.

The Lord desires or wills that we lead a sinless life. But if we want to sin, although it is not the will of the Lord, the Lord unwilling let us sin on our own responsibility and come to our senses and realign our will according to HIS will. Just like the
parents don't will that their child touch fire, but if the child insists, the parents let the child touch and after experiencing don't touch.

Similarly, if I smoke, it is not the will of the Lord that I smoke.
The Lord does not will that I smoke and get cancer and suffer.
The all merciful Lord does not want that I suffer, but gives sanction the will(desire) that I smoke.

So, the Lord is telling from within the heart what is good and what is bad. This is conscience coming from the Lord. The soul can choose the good or bad since it is endowed with the free-will.

See the explanations of the authoritative scriptures below.
Lord Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad gita(19.61),"The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone's heart, O Arjuna, and is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are seated as on a machine, made of the material energy.

Comparing the soul and supersoul sitting on the tree of body,
both the Katha Upanisad and Svetasvatara Upanisad say,
"Although the two birds are in the same tree, the eating bird is fully engrossed with anxiety and moroseness as the enjoyer of the fruits of the tree. But if in some way or other he turns his face to his friend who is the Lord and knows His glories—at once the suffering bird becomes free from all anxieties."

The supersoul is only acting as the witnesser and sanctioner.as mentioned in the Bhagavad gita(13.23), "Yet in this body there is another, a transcendental enjoyer, who is the Lord, the supreme proprietor, who exists as the overseer and permitter, and who is known as the Supersoul."

That is the question of questions for all Christians. I used to struggle with it all the time. What is God's real will. If you ask a question about morality in a Christian setting, you will receive many answers, some of them totally contradictory to each other. Unless you hear from God directly, there is no way to differentiate which answer is the correct answer. That is why there are so many denominations within Christianity.

I ask the question a little differently now. Why has God set up his scriptures and word to such a confusing extent? Why doesn't God clear up all the misconception and contradictions held by his People? Why doesn't God provide conclusive evidence of his existence and make his will clear, so that millions of people can be saved from Hell?

This answer is not forthcoming either.

I do not think that it is God's will that you are smoking. But, I cannot say for certain. I am not God. But I know anything that is an addiction is a sin, since we are called to be in the world, but not of the world. I cannot tell you how to live your life...

He tells us in the bible what his will is. We don't automatically do it. We have to study the bible and find out what it is and then make an effort to practice his will or requirements in our life.

Smoking is what you want to do. Nothing to do with God.
Our bodies are a gift from God and smoking is known to harm our body. He would not want you to smoke.

Scripture tells us what the Will of YHVH is. If we choose to accept His life, through the Messiah YAHOSHUA, then we must receive His headship, His leadership, and make choices in harmony with His will. I don't believe that polluting your body with tobacco smoke is His will.

God can see the big picture. You see this moment. Your will reflects that . You say "I want to smoke cuz it makes me feel good right now. I want to be happy and feel good so I am going to do this thing that feels good." That is a choice based on your current condition and worldview. That is your will.
God is saying "I don't want him to smoke cuz it is polluting his insides and will cause him problems later. I want him to be happy and stay happy and smoking will cause him to be unhappy."
There you go.

That would be your will. God's will would not be for you to poison the Temple and cause you pain and suffering in the future. He allows you to have free will, so you have chosen smoking. What free will would there be without multiple choices?

It is your will not God's. God can free you from any addiction.
We have to take responsibility and accept the consequences of our decisions.
I, too, chose to smoke and am addicted. I hope one day to be free of it. If I get cancer, I will not blame God.
