John 17:9, part of his prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Sounds like pretty limited atonement to me.

What's wrong with just teaching church science?

I suggest telling the kids that God created everything in 6 days.

Monday to Saturday, I believe in was in the month of March, six thousand years ago.

As for fossils older than that, who cares? All those in favor of church science, reply to this question.

My daughter is 1 and b4 i had her i was more or less kicked out of church everyone let it be known they didn't want my kind(single and pregnant) in their church. After i had my daughter everyone was telling me i need to get that baby into church. I didn't feel comfortable taking her to the nursery for someone else to take care of while i sat out with other adults that didn't accept me or even want me to be there.I just don't want to go to that church i'd rather stay home with my daughter than go to a church that codemns people who have made mistakes. Should i feel that way towards the church people in my community?

You know that everything in Bible is false as soon as you read the Genesis. The only religion that came close is ancient Vedic Religion. Even cosmologists like Carl Sagan attested it like this:
#######################################
"The main reason that we oriented this episode of Cosmos towards India is because of that wonderful aspect of Hindu cosmology which first of all gives a time-scale for the Earth and the universe -- a time-scale which is consonant with that of modern scientific cosmology. We know that the Earth is about 4.6 billion years old, and the cosmos, or at least its present incarnation, is something like 10 or 20 billion years old. The Hindu tradition has a day and night of Brahma in this range, somewhere in the region of 8.4 billion years."

I find it hugely ironic that its always we Christians that are the brainwashed, the hypocrites, the hateful, and the reason why the world is terrible, so I ask why do you say so? Is it because you are able to point out a few Christians that are brainwashed, hypocrites, and hateful?

Name me any organization, any race, any country, etc. and I will find you brainwashed, hypocrites, and hateful people in everyone of those groups. So again, why do you love to generalize us so much? And please dont cop out and say, why do you love to generalize atheists so much? It goes both ways.

The Bible doesnt preach hatred and to prove it, name one evil thing Jesus did? Thats who we are suppose to emulate, I cant help it if there are bad seeds amongst us, there are always bad seeds in any group.

Me, I wanna enstill truth and wisdom in my kids and tell them never be suckered into believing anything from anyone unless they know it to be true or can prove it to be that, cause kids are brainwashed too easily and brainwashed into believeing a whole bunch of dangerous ideals and practices's. Don't believe me? Well just go to google video and type in "Jesus Camp" and see it with your own eyes.

and say that bad or evil things have not been done in its name? Christianity? Judaism? Hinduism? Others?

Can you honestly say that everyone professing your religion is following your religious teachings to the letter? Do you not have any rotten eggs? Be honest.

And how many times have you gone out and tried to stop these actions that you thought were evil/bad. Does this make all your religion and your followers evil? Should all of you be killed/exterminated/wiped out? Answer honestly.

Do you think you have the right to judge? No?

Then why do I hear the same things being said about Islam and muslims again and again? I am sick of so many people expecting muslims to shoulder the blame for the actions of those around them? Do you?

Why do you set a different standard for a different people when you cannot stand up to it yourself? Are you not spreading hate? Are you not spreading destruction? Are you not spreading evil ideas? Be honest and be truthful when you reply.

e.g. if you hurt someone by mocking them with insults, when karma comes back at you, do you suffer ridicule too? Or can it come back to you in a completely diff. way, such as becoming the victim of robbery? Same with good karma?

For example, the Bible talks about life in two different ways, physical life and spiritual life. Hebrew or Greek words meaning life are used in both cases, however it is the context of the usage that defines the correct case.

The same is often true of many Bible passages including Exodus 21:22 where God defines the punishment for abortion as a matter of choice. God invented choice, God made abortion wrong, God made the punishment for abortion a matter of choice yet people insist on defining abortion as murder, even though God does not define it as such.

This is also present in politics as well as religion.

Obviously the context of a quote is every bit as important as the quote itself, have we become a society incapable of the attention span necessary to understand more than a single sentence?

Must we then limit the communication of ideology or ideas to single sentences of one syllable words?

Does this not limit our capability to advance in some of the most important areas?

And a painting was painted by a painter?

Then wouldn't creation be created by a creator?
I mean a building did not just happen, nor a painting...it was made by someone.
