Here is another question - why do people associate all good things with themselves and bad things with God? Man is responsible for his own actions - God is not responsible for your actions - we have free will and will be judged on this free will. The war in unjust war in Iraq is man made - NOT GOD MADE. The war in Afghanistan is man made - not god made. The misery and suffering of civilians in these countries is man made- not God made. Why then do people still blame God for all the bad in this world? in order to make ourselves better - we must take responsibilty for OUR own actions and not blame everything on God - blaming everything on God has turned the world we live in today a dangerous place to live. Man made problems are Man made not God made

its like saying - lets blame our parents cos they didnt teach us - lets blame them so we can feel blameless and by that you become arrogant and reject what man is responsible for. I bet people also blame God for all the polution that is being created by man, mans hunting endangered species must also be Gods fault lol. Until man can take responsibiltiy for himself, they cannnot reach self actualisation

Notice how far back this type of excuse goes.... way back to the Garden of Eden, when Adam said to God, "The woman thou gavest me...." and tried to shift his blame on to God. The inference was, "If you hadn't created this woman, I'd never have fallen for the lie." So whenever people try to blame God for anything, they are exhibiting the same sin as Adam did.

The way I see it:
When you teach children to believe in God(s) , biblical origin , or afterlife you are teaching them that it is OK to pretend what is hoped for is the truth. It is this inherited self deception that spreads to other aspects of there life. There brains are trained to work in a way that allows them to rationalize personal facts in stead of researched facts based on skeptical examination. This leads to poor decision making. Decisions like believing the number 13 is unlucky , that there car will make it to work today even though it was making an awful clunking noise on the way home the night before , to support people who promote war , that swear words have meaning , that the naked body is something to be ashamed of and should be hidden , that women are inferior , that other races are inferior , that we are not animals , that evolution cant be true , that your soul will escape if you yawn , and that believing you know and knowing are the same thing.
So my answer is Yes. Its a man made problem. God had nothing to do with it , but people get away with hiding , even from themselves , behind him/her/whatever.

I agree with you. I find it very upsetting when people blame 'God'. God is really beyond man's comprehension. Religion, on the otherhand is open to corruption, abuse and lies. The current debacle over Richard Hawkins (Sorry if I spelt his name wrong) is of particular interest. Those who arrogantly deny the existence of higher order are missing the point. They can prove nothing, but their theories fall far shorter than those of the mystics. Too many people blame God for their own problems - I do, and it's pathetic. but we are living in extraordinary times. Please keep your Faith, as I will try to mine. god Bless.

How do you know god does any good? Why do people attribute good things happening to them as caused by god? This is the same question and utterly trashes the value of prayer and divine intervention. You are arguing disprovement of the other side of the coin with your statement.

Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
Following His baptism, Jesus was tempted by satan, (Luke 4).
6 The Devil told him, "I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them-because they are mine to give to anyone I please.
Satan has dominion albeit temporary....
Satan has read the Bible and knows he is going to fail but he hates us so much he is trying to pull as many of us down as he can. Sort of like when you get pushed into a swimming pool. You grab the one that pushes you so they have to go in as well.

How do you know any of this? How do you know god isn't like a buy with a microscope burning ants?
You don't, of course. And you can't find out because he's not there.

People don't appreciate anything. When something bad happens they always say ''oh my god'' When something good happens they don't thank ''god'' they don't even think about it.
