I lean towards the latter . It seems to me that religion is the main cause of all the trouble in the World so it would be better if we never invented it.

Man certainly created God. Man uses god to explain anything they cannot understand and label it "Divine Intervention". Man uses God to do anything incorrect and label it as "God's right". Man uses God to explan when disaster happens and label it as "God is punishing us". And if there is a God, bilmey, he ain't much good at looking after us.

Poor you, now you are going to get a bunch of religious nut heads chucking abuse at you for being "blasphemous". You go girl.

Man created God. Here's why...we humans cannot accept the fact that we are here on this earth alone. We need to feel that what we do or say really matters and we will be rewarded or punished at the end. We need to feel like we have a divine purpose, but the truth of the matter is we live and we die (that's it).You only live on through memories. Just make sure that you at least try to do the right thing so people will remember you for the good things you have done.

Read this and then decide.....
The word God is a mis-translation! Therefore Man created God.
In the original hebrew bible was the name Elohim (literally translated means "those who came from the sky").It is plural, the singular of which is Eloha. The rabbi's of the time decided that the name Elohim was to be revered and must not be written or spoken, so they replaced the word Elohim with g-d, which for want of a better explanation, means 'refer to original text'.
When time came to translate the bible to English the scribes did not know what g-d was, so they chose to re-name g-d to god.
Mis-translation.
So if the original name was Elohim, plural, that would by all acounts today be translated as 'gods'. And if we were made in their image, it would explain all the different peoples on earth. So we just need to look in the mirror to see what 'god' looks like.

The Elohim created us to become as them, through our own devices and with the help of a few prophets along the way to guide us. They live on a planet in our galaxy.

Man did not invent God but instead God made Himself known to man through revelation.Man can discover God through reason and rationality but can have conviction only through revelation.Although revelation is not bestowed upon everybody, yet people get conviction through the experience of revelation on others.Revelation carries the ultimate of truth and perfection of guidance;as such fosters the conviction.Seeking the truth about God is innate in our very creation, how could it be divorced from our nature and how could ourself would have been satisfied without it?It is not merely an invention of a fantastical being but acceptance of a reality.mankind would have been the most unhappiest creature as if a child without mother-querrelling and behaving like a beast. When man turns away from God, he is away from the religion drifting away towards religiousity-the anti-thesis of religion.

Urf "Any information instruct GOD exists in this planet longer than man or woman?" answer - The God is one. Is Absolute. no longer begetteth nor begotten. there is none like unto him. for this reason, God isn't created nor God is advanced from any. As such, God is previous length (e.i previous time and area or previous E=mc2. ) effect – None can visualize God nor delivers up / change prefixed results of a series. each and every sequence will be talked about by technique of the subsequent till dooms day. And So, God is the author. MOHAMMED TAREK

Man created god as a way to explain the unexplainable. God's major reason for being is to give a hope after death. Now that science has explained why so many things that were before unexplainable god is becoming less important. That is why religions, including christianity, do their best to keep their flock ignorant. They lose their power if people think for themselves.

God created man. So how did you get here then? Yes, Religion is the main cause of war, but that's not God's fault. He doesn't want you to have religion, he wants a relationship with you.

Find one war in mankind's history that wasnt either caused by or backed by a religion. During World War II Christian/Catholic priests blessed bombs and bullets that killed Christians and Catholics on the other side. But is it fair to say that these men represent a God who's chief attribute is love? If a representative of a company was a lyer and a crook, does that mean that the company is corrupt? Personnaly I think that God created man, and man in his imperfection has done a poor job of thanking him.

Well I believe that man just up and appeared out of no where.... something had to create us...and that something, I believe, is God. Religion is a different thing than a relationship with God, so yes I do believe religion is one of the main troubles of the earth. But that's just one opinion of many.

I think the main cause of all the trouble is that humans think they so superior and do not believe that is very possible that God exists.
Think on how big this universe is and we are just one tiny spot in the middle of everything. Do you think Humans created the universe too? Someone had to create it and decide to give us a chance creating a place for us to stay. Obviously we have not taken good care of our planet.

Man has fought many wars using religion as a cloak of respectability, but does that mean that God agrees with it? No, since the Bible tells us that God is impartial and doesn't favour any group of people over another.

God promises to put an end to war and to all orgaisations (political, military, commercial and religious) in the near future (Psalm 46:9).
