That's totally true, and guess who's grabbed the baton.
Stem-cell research is widely accepted in places like Taiwan and Europe.
Creationism is totally banned from most Latin American school syllabi.
And an Aerospatial Program is about to be started in Mexico (Mexico's congress will vote the initiative today).
Good Bye USA, Hello Salem!!!
EDIT: MArk G, no one in their sound mind will bother to call you.

Nope, I don't. I also don't think observations of how the world began have anything to do with proving or disproving the existence of God so I think the whole debate is pretty theologically worthless. But, just for the sake of argument: Can you present one piece of evidence/factual observable data that your scientific theories for the beginning of the universe were not initiated by a higher being? Edit: And you are right to say that evolution has merit, but the limitation of science is that it can only observe, it can't state purpose and can rarely state cause.

Science should look at all evidence for every theory and every Hypothesis, not try to prove any one theory or disprove it. Science
right now is trying to prove evolution with all their heart and soul, not looking at all the evidence. When one theory falls apart, they make a new one with no more evidence than the last. When Darwin's tree of life fell apart with the Cambrian explosion, they are now trying to say evolution works in a series of giant leaps?
Punctuated equilibrium is the new idea to explain it. Not that they have any actual evidence. It just has to be, so they say it is. They say the support bones in a whales tail look like leg bones, so there is proof of evolution in progress! Call me when you find a whale fossil with legs that was walking around on land.

Yes. Backward thinking leads to backward action, and pretty soon we're going to fall on our (ever-expanding) behinds.
