It's not like I go around flagging all of thier answers that I don't agree with. I mean isn't there something about turning the other cheek in the bible? Don't be so petty. Most people in the world don't agree with you, you can believe I'm going to hell, it really doesn't bother me what you believe. I might believe in unicorns or gnomes, and that shouldn't bother you either. People's beliefs are thier own. So I ask, why force yours on me? (and please don't say "to save me" because I know you don't like me, and you should know I don't like you, so let's dispence with the formalities.)

This question is only for religious people who accept evolution. If you are a creationist, then please don't answer.

I was wondering, if you beleive in evoluion and in God, when did humans first become aware of God, and how? The whole Adam and Eve story starts out with then knowing about God. But if you believe in evolution, then at what point did God tell humans about his existance? Is this referenced in the bible at all?

Please share your thoughts, I would like to know what people think.

I read somewhere recently that Darkness and nothingness in the form of a Void existed before God made light...

(for those of you who don't believe in God... This is not the place to argue it, so lets just say hypothetically for you guys.) Stay on track and answer accordingly...

Was God evil before He became Good if He always was and always will be?

Was becoming a benevolent loving light filled creature a choice He made?

Was God evil before He decided to become Balanced with the addition of light, color, heat energy and spectrum?

and considering... Is evil (or darkness) older than good (or light)?

Also, they build Haram al-Sharif on the Temple Mount, which is the holiest site in Judaism, and Jewish Israelis do not try to tear down the Dome of the Rock. They wanted to install a ramp. With my Christian tendencies, you'd think I'd be offended to, but I am not. I understand. They are not touching the Dome of the Rock. It is an archaeological restoration and set of improvements needed. They will risk hurting POLICE OFFICERS doing their job?

Skip the assumption that "everything God does is perfect" for a second and actually think about it, please. Or else don't bother answering.

I live in Atlanta. There is a local priest of the Catholic faith who is gay, and now, the church is apparently firing him, or at least not permitting him to remain the leader of that Church where he is. I am not sure, but I think that he just recently came out with the news that he is gay.

I have mixed feelings about this.

On the one hand, I know that God loves all of his children, and hence, I believe we should accept people despite their sins. In that respect, I am no better than he (this priest).

But when I consider his position of authority in the church, I question the morality of him occupying said position (no sexual pun intended whatsoever).

How can little kids be taught the Bible and the nature of God by this man without being confused by the psychosexually aberrant knowledge about the man's lifestyle?

Please tell me what you think. Be honest.

I consider the controversies in interpretations of predestination and free will are caused by positions taken by the writers or apostles of the epistles and letters to Churches or individual believers. Supposed, the Bible is now consisting of the full OT but NT with only the four gospels and perhaps the Acts and Revelation, will this arrangement help to eliminate or close up the stands of those who support predestination and reject free will in every life? However, the value and messages and advices in the epitles written for the believers can be retained as guide book.

As I see, the epitles writters are greatly honoured by what they have written than those written for Jesus. Jesus has said that the Master is always higher than the pupils or disciples. And so the teachings of Jesus should always be primary reference for our faith and understanding of God's will. Jesus said the Holy Spirit will show believers (everyone) the truth. Even God wants all eyes to be on Jesus alone.

According to the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible the NEW WORLD TRANSLATION
John 1: 1 Says this-
1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.

According to the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible the NEW WORLD TRANSLATION
John 17: 3 says-
3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

So My questions are
1. Do you agree that Jesus is a God?
2. Is Jesus a true God or a false God?
3. Why don't these scriptures in your Bible make sense?

Please Witnesses what do you make of this?

Ok, the Jews claim their religion is the true one, so as the Christians and the Muslims and all other religions.

It certainly not our fault, as we are misled by our earlier leaders.

Do you think God will still punish you or them or myself, or we will just miss the heaven?

I just watched the National Geographic Channel's show on the Big Bang last night and it was completely fascinating to me. It struck me that most people who believe in another beginning or otherwise don't believe in the Big Bang would probably have no interest in this fascinating show. Would any of you who believe in a different beginning find a show on the Big Bang interesting? Other comments?

I don't think you would have to believe it to find it very interesting.
