He wanted you to be an unbeliever because he doesn't exist. That's why he gave you free will to not believe that he created you because he didn't.

Is that confusing enough to sound theological?

Of course you have free will to deny His existence. That's your nature, you give yourself too much credit if you think you have the natural ability to choose God, when the Bible says the opposite. God didn't make you not believe, by the way, Adam did that. It's called original sin. A plan for everything? Hey, make all the decisions you want, if not for God's intervention, your own nature condemns you. No need to map out your behavior or anyone else's. God would be totally justified in leaving everyone unbelieving and left in their sins.

But He didn't. He chose SOME before the foundations of the world, foreknowing, electing, predestining, calling, and saving His own, they are His from eternity to eternity. No, we don't know who is written in the book of life, but when our eyes are opened, out of joy we tell others about what God has done for us. Some people listen, some don't, but it's God who does the converting, man has no part in turning another person's heart around or even in choosing salvation. Faith is given, Eph. 2:8.

God did NOT make you an unbeliever, you have a choice to believe in Him, or Not. God gave us free will, because without it love cannot exist. Love cannot be coerced, it must be given from the heart freely.

It is your choice to deny God. God did not create you to be an unbeliever. As a matter of fact, He created you for fellowship with Him. He wants you and your love but as we know genuine love can not be coerced or forced in any way. Therefore, He gave you a free will to choose to love Him because He seeks genuine love. No, God did not create you to deny His existence...that mindset is a product of this world.

God didn't plan everything, God created everything.

We have free will and are co-creators. We make ourselves believers or unbelievers : "As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is."

God has no need or expectation for us to meet. Free will is only free will if it is without expectation or need. If God were to give us "free-will" to believe or not believe yet punish us for all eternity for making a choice he didn't want us to make, that is not free-will. That is a controlling & manipulative behavior, typical of a codependent human.

God didn't make you and unbeliever, Adam's sin, and your existence from him, gave you a sin nature, in which you choose not to believe in God (changing the truth into a lie to excuse sin).

What God chooses is up to Him. You know He exists, and you know the only way to right standing is through His son, Jesus. You can get in right standing with Him by confessing that Christ died for you sin, and ask for forgiveness through Christ for your sin.

Pretty simple really.

At that point you are not an unbeliever, and now God Has revealed Himself to you.

He loves you that much.....
I know that that sounds glib, but the fact is that many believers START out as unbelievers and through a desire to experience God more fully in their lives, they enter into the journey that makes God manifest. I pray that God blesses you in your walk!

I,ve answered this question so many times here and other places i,m begining to wish for some origionality. It seems to me that to a RATIONAL thinker that this would be a no brainer.
if you are a parent then surely you can understand, as a parent i want my children to succeed in life. by succeed im talking being happy with themselves and prepared with the right tools to handle whatever comes their way.even a rationalist knows there are some set rules(universal laws so to speak) that govern life such as dont play in traffic! so on and so forth.that these laws apply to everyone.that children can not always be expected to know or understand the need for such rules ,therefore the role of the parent is to teach the child and correct the child but at some time i have to allow that child room to practice what he,s been taught. ie i trust he,s mature enough to do the right thing.I continue to do this untill as an adult ,I finally turn him out into the world to live his life. hoping because he trusts my teachings and because of his love and respect for me,he will choose to live a good life. Now i could keep him prisoner, i suppose and force him to do my will ,but there is no return of love.if you have a rebebellious child, they cant see that what you do for them as being based on love and concern for their lives, but rather desire only to break free,to be somthing apart from you,do their own thing, like play in traffic! eventualy i have to let go of him too.
somthing alot of people dont see about God is He truly is like a parent, he desires our well being, and our love.
and as to dr evolu.........s diatribe about faith-disbelief-certainty.faith is not a feeling sir, but an action.because of my CERTAINTY of Gods existance I step out in faith ,which in kind increases my certainty.I do not need rituals and or religious org. to fuel my certainty.I reach out to God He reaches back.. the funny thing is i did,nt believe in God the first time I reached out to him.He still responded.

Faith and Certainty

Certainty is 100%. Belief is always less than that. We start inquiring about the existence of something with a percentage of belief and a percentage of doubt. As we gather information and knowledge, we may achieve more belief or more doubt. What we really want is certainty, not belief nor doubt.

Most people who say they believe in God, they have a mixture of belief and doubt. Since they cannot prove the existence of God, they strongly rely on faith, which is not knowldge of God, but a sentiment, a feeling of desire that has to be constantly renewed with a support system (religious services, prayer meetings, mantras, meditations, affirmations, etc.).

Those who say that do not believe in the existence of God weigh the odds of probability. There is no sensory evidence that God exists, and logic does not support the hypothesy that in nature there can be something that violates its own laws with magic powers. Thus they put the probability of the existence of God at a very low percentage, very near 0%. This makes it absolutely useless for them to waste their time in religious services, prayers or invocations. They simply realize that the practical thing to do in life is live according to a moral code based on rational thinking. If one concentrates on living morally, one has a chance to avoid conflict, foster peace, justice and happiness.

As long as we believe MILDLY in the supernatural and don't really do anything PRACTICAL with faith, we can play with beliefs and content ourselves without doing too much harm (even though I think the teaching of faith to children is harmful to their reasoning ability).

But faith cannot prevent violance or injustice because faith is not the source of morality, reason is. Can you imagine if you were accused of stealing because someone said that God told him? Only reason can do justice among people. One can never be wrong if he is an extremist of reason, that is, if he reasons too much, but there can be a lot wrong with a religious extremist, someone who believes too much and is prepared to put his strong beliefs into practice!

Which would you rather have:

1. Flat Screen Computer (one dimension) with any picture of the person you want that will mindlessly say, "You're so wonderful". Forever without change. (It's really an easy program if you're talented in this)

2. The dream of your life (living person) with whom you can touch to on their own accord say, "You're so wonderful". Sure they may not always do as you wish, but ahhh the joy and ecstasy of when it all matches together.

God wants you to love him of your own accord. I figured this out when I discovered the true soul of my "Ex" ... sure if there were a "Love Spell" and I could use it --- it wouldn't be as wonderful as if I got someone to love me just because they love me and gave up their needs for my needs ... and I could return this loving bond.

I dont think that he MADE man an unbeliever. He did give us the choice to believe or not believe. Why the choice? I have no idea!
