have you ever killed a fly? a fly has 1000x more "stem cells" in its brain alone than does a human zygote used for stem cell research.

Hello all,
I want to share something very personal with you about myself.
To start out. I was adopted.
I never knew my father (Jim Christi), he had a relationship with my biological mother (Pam Fryerson) which decided for whatever reason to give me up for adoption. I was adopted into a family that are descendants of the Levite Jews (the priesthood linage).
I was a crack addict for about 11 years. I would lend out my car for crack. I was a bisexual crackhead prostitute. I was working fulltime and smoking the rest of the time. Well, i was returning home one day 32 miles away on foot with no car and no money after days of smoking and committing abominations. I hated myself, and being married and having children i really felt hollow from my own doing and misery. Crying, praying, and walking home, in the middle of my prayer, a young woman in a brand new '00 Toyota Camry stopped her car aprx. 50 feet away and walked to me to tell me God told her to stop and give me a ride home...

I just ran across this, about dealing with religious harassment at work.

http://www.eff.org//Censorship/Freedom_of_religion/relig_harassment.faq

As an HR secretary and a Pagan, I rather liked it. What do y'all think?

Also, have you ever been harassed for your religion? I was several times in Orlando, mostly by Christians, but occasionally by secular people who thought it was funny to make jokes about how I'd turn them into frogs if they pissed me off. If only!

It's getting tiresome. Can God face up to his responsibilities without constantly using a scapegoat?

And those who have no mental vigilance,
Though they may hear the teachings, ponder them or meditate,
With minds like water seeping from a leaking jug,
Their learning will not settle in their memories.

I read an article about Colts coach Dungy, who lost a son just months ago and has another one with a rare congenital disease. But Dungy seems sure that God helped him win the Super Bowl.

Is that sick or what?

We hear a lot from the media about Muslims who live in Palestine, or have fought for liberation of Palestinian territories, and the rivalling factions in those now ceded territories etc etc - but what about Muslims who live in Israel? Certainly a number of them probably support palestinian factions or have their own views, but are there any who generally support Israel and would rather not be associated with the Palestinians? - Drew druid, UK

Hi,

I was wondering if the "Ah" meditation provided by Wayne Dyer can be practiced silently, by thinking about making the "Ah" sound. I am having trouble finding a quiet and undisturbed space to meditate in college.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
