Of course it's fair. If it had been banana flavored coffee, that would be another matter :-P

Yes, I do. You don't know if anyone who gives blood is allergic to mango-flavoured coffee and if you hadn't told the bloodmobile people that you had changed it YOU would have been responsible.

Yes, I do. They give donors juice for a reason, to help keep blood sugar up and your body hydrated. Coffee after donating blood could cause more harm than good because of it's diuretic properties.

You're probably lucky you were only fired.

No, it is not fair at all.. the people at the bloodmobile are ignorant of the fact that coffee is the elixir of life. Educate them to it's caffeinated goodness!!

Yes. It seems stupid, but you could have done real harm. The reason for serving juice is that it increases your blood sugar - it has sugar in it. Flavored coffee does not have sugar and will not help; potentially the caffine could have determental effects.
