Are there Muslims living in Israel who want nothing to do with Palestine?

We hear a lot from the media about Muslims who live in Palestine, or have fought for liberation of Palestinian territories, and the rivalling factions in those now ceded territories etc etc - but what about Muslims who live in Israel? Certainly a number of them probably support palestinian factions or have their own views, but are there any who generally support Israel and would rather not be associated with the Palestinians? - Drew druid, UK

I recall a poll taken during the Camp David talks hosted by President Clinton between Ehud Barak and Arafat when Barak offered Arafat 97% of the disputed territories including most of the Old City of Jerusalem. The poll suggested that, if such an agreement were ever made, that in the days and weeks leading up to the implementation, about 200,000 Israelis would try to resettle in the West Bank in an attempt to change the demographics and thus the agreement...and approximately 1/3 of the palestinian arabs trying to resettle in Israel to escape the PA.

So yes, there are many palestinian arabs (mostly muslim) who want nothing to do with Hamas or the PA but are basically trapped. Most of these are successful businessmen and professionals who know their livelihood would be destroyed under Hamas or PA.

not many but some....during the lebanese war when israel was being hit with missiles you could see arabs in jerusalem climbing on their roofs and cheering, yet at the same time a poll done a while ago by tel aviv university showed that 73% of arabs would rather live in israel then any other country. arabs arent free of their problems in israel but their standard of living there is higher than they would have in most other middle eastern countries and they know it
