I know there is a verse somewhere that states when you do something out of good Christian faith, and your "friends" turn on you, that is when you find out who your friends really are... I need a verse about this subject, because I did something I beleive was Christian-like, and my friends that I loved turned on me because of that decision.

My Grandfather is an Evolutionary Biologist and he says that nothing bothers him more then people thinking that Science has some kind of Vendetta against Religion. Like they are almost out to disprove god. He says that Science simply works with what they observe and take it from there. He says its much like Gallileo, Gallileo discovered something he knew would be seen as Heresy but he just had to present his information. Science is the same way, They present the information and people can interpret it how ever they want. I have never heard a Scientist say "believe me or suffer the consequences" Do you think most people are just afraid of what science discovers?

parting of seas, raising of dead, talking to angels, healing of blinds, walking on water......those are ALL REAL AND TRUE? because they all are acts of god, right???

i'll tell you why they're not.
because NOTHING REMOTELY HAS COME CLOSE TO THOSE MIRACLES TODAY. or within hundreds of years for that matter. why would god let these miracles happen back then, and nothing like those today?? there are millions and millions of more people that worship and pray to god, so why have anything like that happen today??

wanna know why? BECAUSE GOD IS FAKE. if it wasn't, things like that would be common sense and POSSIBLE.

how convenient that all of those miracles come before technological times of today. if some believer in god, completely devout and everything, walked on water to save a child or something, EVERYONE WOULD SAY IT IS A HOAX. because we know it isn't possible.

so WHY STILL BELIEVE IN IT AND WORSHIP AN IMAGINARY THING?

people are so completely delusional it makes me sick

I'm just wondering how Christians with the gift of the spirit have no idea about so many of the things in the Bible.

Why are we all bitching and complaining about how much money the church has. You know what Im not saying that all of them are innocent and there are som preachers who are driving a lexes but you shouldnt be stereotyping all of them thats wrong. My church needs a new building because we outgrew the other one and that takes money and how we did that was reach out to the community and that takes money. It takes money to print out flyers and money to throw a carnival and money for the musical equipment and the music that you worship to every morning. your seats take money your church transportation takes money. Spaggetie dinners and social evens take money so before you all deceide to complain about how much extra money the church has think about how they are reaching out to the community. Through programs, events, worship and transportation. I think you are just saying where your heart is. Your heart is in your wallet and abviosly all you care about spending it on is yourself or objects

Today in the news is a story about people getting killed or injured in protests going on in the Holy Land, specifically between Jews and Muslims. the Israelis are performing a construction project near the Temple Mount, and the Muslims (naturally) think they are trying to undermine Islam and destroy something or another... So, they are protesting and fighting each other...

All this got me thinking - WHERE ARE THE CHRISTIANS? throughout many centuries, Christendom fought many crusades to the Holy Land, the birth place of Jesus, and the area where he was allegedly crucified... I beleive it was the Knights Templar who last controlled the area before losing it to Muslim invaders in the 14th Century.... (I could be wrong...Was the Children's Crusade after this date?)

Why is Christendom not fighting for the Holy Land any longer??

Doesn't "Do as you will, but do no harm" represent free-will and compassion better than "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"?

My belief is prompted by a number of things. Principally, when we die we can't take anything with us, just like when we go to sleep and dream and awake, and no matter how good the dream is we can't take back anything from it, except memories. Or we are watching a very exciting TV show only to wake up to find that the show is long finished. I think that when we die, especially suddenly, it is just like that, one moment we are here, and the next moment we are on the other side. Only philosophical answers please, no flippancy.

Did God make apes from mud too, since we share 99% of our genome with them?

And did God use mud to create all vertebrates? And invertebrates?

What about bacteria? Did God use mud too?

What material did God use for creating dinosaur and trilobite fossils, and what did He create them for?

Will you answer me with the typical "Only God knows" or "God moves in mysterious ways" crap?
