V’et zachar lo tishkav mishk’vey eeshah toeyvah hee."
Guess what that means?
What is it?
It is the original Leviticus 18:12 (It proves that the 1611 translation of the Bible into English was corrupted by the Church Leaders of the day.)
It proves that it is un-biblical to condemn homosexuality, per se.
I disagree with the Catholic Church on a lot of things. But, their research department, at least, after studying that verse in its original language and history, reported that Homosexuality is not a sin . The Catholic Church is still screwed up about celibacy, but at least they have admitted that discrimination againsthomosexuality is un-biblical.
Any Christian who discriminates against homosexuality or calls
it a sin is just not aware of what the Original Leviticus verse really said. --
(Shame on them. Even if they don't speak Hebrew, they should have realized that any verse which violates the theme of Harmony has probably been corrupted or is simply misunderstood, or is simply reporting the History of how people misunderstood God's message.)

Are they indeed the most hated section of Y:A? That's encouraging, and a complete reversal from the actual US.
They bash you because they are ignorant and don't realize a great many things... they are taught that it's a choice and a wrong one, which neuroscience has long known to be false. There are marked and visible differences in the brains of homosexuals which are very well studied and documented... Educated people know that it is in no possible way a conscious choice, but the religious don't hear about that - they don't want to hear about it. In fact they breed so much misinformation about it that you pretty much have to take a university course in neurology or psychology to know.
But it could be worse. The most hated and distrusted minority group in America (by far) is the atheist. Even more than terrorists or muslims. As an atheist I have to deal with their crap too. So it's kind of refreshing to see bible thumpers under attack from another group.

There's a fundamental difference between the Evangelicals of 30 years ago and today. Now we see a movement of people who really think a theocratic America is a great idea. I am Christian, but certainly not in line with this crowd's thinking.
What you are seeing is a distortion of Biblical teachings, away from the "lamb" and more towards the "lion". One of my best friends went to a private school associated with this movement, and the curriculum was frightening, to say the least. For example, it was taught as FACT that George Washington was shot by the British at least 8 times, but that the bullets never penetrated his clothing because God wanted him alive.
The "New Jesus" is the warrior, rather than, say, that guy who spoke all the text in red letters. You know, all that stuff about loving your neighbor, forgiveness, social justice, being a good citizen, being responsible for strangers' welfare. All that stuff is a bit too "liberal" for the taste of these mega-church "Christians". (Andrew Sullivan coined the phrase "Christianist" for this sect, in line with our calling radical Muslims "Islamists".)
What you have to understand about the Christianist agenda is the "divide and conquer" theory. Using wedge issues, they divide the community against each other, creating fear and bigotry where none existed before. The main idea is to instill an "us versus them" mentality, and sew the seeds of the individual feeling like he is in a constant state of persecution from "secular forces". The extreme example of this is Jim Jones' Jonestown, but it seems to not be that extreme anymore. The Christianist founder of Domino's Pizza is planning a similar settlement in Florida.
So the idea is: once people are all pitted against each other, it's easy to come in and mop up money and power. This is exactly what has happened. You have to understand, there's nothing religious about these people who lead these "churches". They are as fake at the street corner con artist selling snake oil. But now their power and influence extends to the highest branches of government, indeed, the highest one of all. Foreign dignitaries have been eschewed for a visit from Graham or Robertson by the current administration.
In short, gays are bashed because they're a minority that transcends traditional taboo discrimination lines of race and religion. Just understand that this anti-gay rhetoric is a means to an end: the establishment of Christian theocracy in America.

Hey take it easy there. Don't assume all "Bible thumpers" hate gay people. I happen to love all people, just don't care much about the sin part of being gay. Its up to God wether or not your going to hell, not us.
And actually if you were a Christian you would know that it is our job as Christians to show people the TRUTH, its up to you to believe it or not. Sorry if you had bad experiences but, were not that bad.
God Bless

So what you laugh at us and scorn us for loving God, if you only knew the love that God has for His people. What is a bible thumper, I'm a bible reader, and I love God, and yes that means that the majority will not agree with what I say, but that's their fault. Because salvation is available to all men. It's on you to choose life and the have it more abundantly. Stop showing so much hatred for a particular people you don't understand.

Though not a Bible-thumper, being hated is not the worst thing that can happen to a body.
Bashing gays is definitely wrong.
Their lifestyle is spoken of negatively in the Bible, but as you say, it one's own business.
You may wish to keep in mind that Jesus did not do any 'bashing'.
Therefore, neither should his followers.
If they do, they are showing they are not good followers.

I know you're angry and probably it also hurts your feelings. Look at it this way - if they are such avid believers in God and his judgments, then they will "have their day in God's court" also, because they are mean, hurtful, judgmental people. They can try to interpret the Bible and point a finger at the world, but nobody made them the standard by which to judge. They will be judged on their smallness; their prejudice; their meanness. So don't waste your energy, emotions, health on letting them get to you. Go forward and live and love life!

You are right! No man can save anyone and God doesn't need man. So, saying it's not a Christians job to save you is correct. Don't let them fool you into thinking otherwise! It is our job to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to you, though. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures! God Bless. Please don't put ALL Christians in the same category. You wouldn't want that done to you. I do agree that MOST Christians, I use that word in this case very loosely!, do judge and condemn all to much!

The only thing I can figure about your bad attitude is that somewhere in your life some Christian or school must of really touched a nerve & that has made you very bitter.
If you have truly read the Bible you would understand what it says & it's way far off your negative opinion.

God is the one who saves people, but we who love Him share His word with others, because He calls us to, and because we CARE about you- it is the opposite of what you think. And it is not us who are condemning to hell, well maybe some are- but that is why scripture must be used when presenting the gospel, because it is God's word- not ours- and there needs to be an understanding of what hell is- and why it is there- for punishment of sin- for sin separates man from God....I am a sinner just like everyone else- But I put my faith in Jesus Christ, so I am redeemed, and I do not deserve it. We care- or we would not even bother sharing the gospel with you. : )
Psalm 18:30
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
