I know there is a verse somewhere that states when you do something out of good Christian faith, and your "friends" turn on you, that is when you find out who your friends really are... I need a verse about this subject, because I did something I beleive was Christian-like, and my friends that I loved turned on me because of that decision.

The website that I am linking below says there are 49 verses in the Bible with the word "friend" in them. Maybe that will help.

In addition, while I'm not sure what you did, within the eight beattitudes there may be a verse that fits your situation. Mabye verse 6 or 9?

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Verse 3)
Blessed are the meek: for they shall posses the land. (Verse 4)
Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted. (Verse 5)
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. (Verse 6)
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. (Verse 7)
Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. (Verse 8)
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Verse 9)
Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Verse 10)

Good luck!

If you look in the back of the Bible, you will find the "concordence" (sp?). It will give key words and list verses that are about the key word. I'm positive that if you look for "friendship" , you will find a list of verses. Best of luck in your search. And don't worry about your friends. They will come around, if not, they aren't worthy of calling them "friend"
