I imagine it's the same as the proof that it's not possible to stand on your head and make wooden nickles spew from your ears.

Do you know that proof? It's a really useful one that will keep you from all sorts of nonsense.

The problem with your question is that you can't prove a negative.
There is not, has never been, will never be any proof that you CAN communicate with the dead.
Therefore, lack of proof disproves the positive.

Samual appeared to Saul, Saul had used a witch to summon his spirit. 1 Samuel 28:7

"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to The Lord, and because of these detestable practices The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before The Lord your God." (Deuteronomy 18:10-13 NIV)

The Bible indicates it is not possible.
Ecclesiastes 9:5
"the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, . . ."
The dead are conscious of nothing at all.
They know nothing about how to communicate.
Verse 10:
"there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in
She′ol, the place to which you are going."
No activity on the part of dead ones.
This includes the 'soul'. Ezekial 18:4

Well when the frontal lobe is removed people can't communicate because the frontal lobe is the part of the brain where speech comes from. So when a persons frontal lobe rots away after death they lose the ability to communicate.

I think that you have to look at this objectively, many people have claimed to speak with the dead for well over a hundred years or more, but what have we really learned? nothing in fact that relates to the afterlife and nothing that we have been able to capitilize on this side of the grave,so my conclusion is that all this is a sham for profit and gain by greed driven unscrupulous people.

Harry Houdini spent much of his career debunking spiritualism. There is no credible evidence that the dead ever communicated with the living.

Nothing that I'm aware of. People can and do communicate with people whose mind has moved on while they're still in the bardo, or people trapped in the formless realm.

It is possible through psyhcics, ouija boards etc. but it is forbidden by God to communicate with the dead, because we are inviting demons to cross over.
