Psalm 84:10 One day in the presence of God at His temple means more than a thousand spent elsewhere. The doorkeeper refers not to some official of the temple, but rather to any person who stands at the door, perhaps a worshiper or even a beggar.

"For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness." Psalm 84:10 NASV

Someone, a pilgrim, searching and longing maybe, for the house of the Lord. It is evident, he is praising and telling of his love and passion for God's house.

In this particular passage he tells of the delight, the advantage, the blessing of being in the house of God, he expresses it in terms of one day being so much better than a multitude of days being outside of His house. Ah, and isn't it true, to be penniless and a Christian is far better than to be among the richest in money and an unbeliever?

Better is one day in your house.

I have to say I have never come across that verse, but it is a song, and I don't enjoy Christian music.
