Don't buy the hype that the religious institutions try to sell you to get membership dollars!!! All you need to do is try your best to be a good person - follow the Golden Rule.
That's all it takes!!!

First, you just described religion as a correct religion. That would lead me to think that you would believe in religious superiority--no matter which religion you might follow. This is where this issue gets tricky. Since no one has really met God and came back to tell us about it, there is no way that confirms which faith is true. If you ever watched Dogma, I think that Chris Rock's character had it right "Religion is a guideline" where you base your own life philosophy and link it with a religion where a majority follow a similar philosophy. Yet, no matter how fundamentalist one becomes in a religion, it is wise to learn about other religions with and open mind. Confirming or contemplating your own religion becomes a lot easer once you have learned about religions. Finally, if you do not believe that your current religion is right for you, be strong and make your own decisions for yourself. Do not fret, it is quite natural to question faith; it leads people to become better people. Fortunately for me, I belong to a religious group that promotes knowledge, understanding and tolerance of other religious identities and I still question certain aspects of my religion.

All religions claim to be the only one but religion is made up by men as a way to comprehend things so big they can't take them in. Religion is just a way of codifying life so people have a map to live by.

Thus the reason I don't go for any kind of organized religion. You just gotta try and be a decent human, using your own judgement. No one (no God) is answering any prayers or making any appearances to set the record straight, so they must have quit caring about us pathetic little humans long ago.

Depends on who God (if he exists) really is. If he's the type of guy who inspires all kinds of religions and then flips a coin and chooses one at random and decides to send everyone who's not a member of that religion to hell... we're all in trouble. Most of us, anyway. I hate lotteries.

No matter what religion you are, if you're merely hoping to go to heaven (which ever version) someday, then you're doing wrong.
Do your best to make heaven on earth, or all we'll have is a state of hell.

Your are responsible for your own beliefs and what you follow. You have to throw the dice like the rest of the human race and hope you don't crap out.

I don't think that an all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present god would be that petty, personally.
