Do you actually have to enter a mosque and revert to Islam to officially be a Muslim, or just pray five times a day, fast, and say your Shahada to some witnesses? I'm thinking of reverting, myself.

Perhaps everything occurs only because we strongly believe or do not believe it will?

Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them...for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

I mean think about it!
It should really be a status in your life like
Example: Married (yes) Sexuallity (straight) etc...
And the definition for it is "the religon of praticing no religion"
ALSO!!! If schools want to take out religion out of schools
They would have to put some manner of Worship in because Athiesm is considerd a real religion.

The human race is so far advanced yet so stupid

Im not saying that one religion is superior im saying why is it considered a religion and not a status of your life?

What aspects of the class would make you more or less interested? What would your parents think, or if you are a parent, how would you feel about your child taking a religious studies course at school?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and answers.

I don't mean a specific person, I mean which religion *or lack there of* would be most likely to have a true holey encounter?

Personaly, I don't think any die-hard religions would ever see god for themselves, maybe not even in death. Why? Because god does not want to dissapoint them in telling them that they were a little *or a lot* off. Also, they are more likely to simply make it all up.

I think it would be the open-minded that would be visited, and I have met very few open-minded fanatics. Anyone that says there's only one way into heaven *which is their way, of course* or that they "know" what happens after death is immediately knocked off the list.

Anyone with any input?

It's uncanny. They come from two different cultures that were basically isolated from each other. Yet they say almsot EXACTLY the same thing. Don't lie, cheat, steal, kill.

That one about adultery is even there in a suttle way: "I will not engauge in sexual activity that can bring hurt."

How do you explain this? Did it come from one common source?

Of all religions only Judea-Christian says time has a beginning

The other Holy books describe God as creating within time. The Bible states that God creates independent of time. That's the difference. God can move and operate in at least two dimensions of time. In two dimensions of time, time becomes a plane, like a sheet of paper, length and width. In a plane, you can have as many lines as you want and as many directions as you want. It would be possible for God to dwell on a time line running through a sheet of paper that's infinitely long, and that never crosses or touches the timeline of our universe. As such, God would have no beginning, no end and he would not be created. Sound familiar?

Why the God of Modern Physics Matches the God of the Bible Both John Chapter One and Colossians Chapter One make that claim about God; He has no beginning, no end and He is not created.

The Bible is the only Holy book that makes that statement about God.

I recently was re-exposed to the story of Abraham, the one where God tells him to sacrifice his son for no reason, and i started to believe that God must be a little sick in the head to want to screw with people like that. I believe the moral of the story was that one had better fear God or He will smite your head off. Now is it me, or does anyone think that God enjoys messing with people. If I were Abraham, and God just told me to drag my son to a mountain and BURN him to death without any reason at all, i would be friggin pissed off. In the end Abraham was happy with God's approval of him and as a reward, He gives him a ram to sacrifice. I wouldn't sacrifice s**t after being totally messed with like that. Am i the only one who thinks that this particular Bible story portrays God as a total lunatic?

as He indicates in Matthew 25:31-46

He says : " I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. "

We are not saved by deeds, we are saved only by the grace and mercy of God. But consider your gifts, your talents, your voction and your circumstances as a special trust from God with which to serve Him by serving others.

We are not responsible for doing all the good that needs to be done in the world, but we are responsible for doing what God has planned for us to do. Together we are better.

Tell me your thoughts.

I have heard people say that their "religion" doesn't affect their vote, their job, their choice of entertainment, etc.

If that is the case, why even bother with faith at all? Isn't it then just relegated to a hobby of sorts?

I am very interested in hearing your thoughts.
