Well, if I do drop down into Hell, I'll just use my katana and slice Satan in half, kill him, then take over Hell and rule over it for all time, until someone else topples me over. OK, I wasn't being serious.
Well, yes, my friends are Christian. I don't neccessarily believe in God. I'm sure there's some sort of higher being watching us, controlling our every move. o.O OK, the controlling our every move part was just random, I was kidding. Anyway, I'm sure a god's up there, waiting to strike me with lightning or something. But we get along fine.

Here's a question for you. What about a Christian who sins again and again and again? Can another Christian be friends with him/her? Being a Christian does not in and of itself mean you are going to heaven. It's also about allowing the Lord to lead and guide your life. No Christian is perfect, so there should be no air of superiority with non-Christians or Christians that are out of order. I don't think I have any atheist friends, but I certainly have friends that are Jewish and Muslim. We agree to disagree on certain religious issues. Most importantly, we respect each other's right to different beliefs. I don't agree with their beliefs; I just respect their right to them.

I think it ultimately depends on the people. However I think that it would be hard for most atheists and christians to be friends because the difference in personalities in people who believe in god and those who don't. There may not be a lot of common interests but this isn't always the case.

I have many Atheist friends, so my answer is YES, we can be friends.
It is not their stupidity that they do not believe in God. God has promised that all people who seek Him will find Him. I am confident that if they want to find Him, they will. It is a bout a free will, and I respect their choice.
No, I do not feel superior to them. I love my friends, I let God be the judge because He knows people's hearts. I believe that the Bible is true. God wants us to love everyone and let Him to sort us out. : )

A Christian believes he is a sinner saved by grace. The apostle Paul claimed to be "chief of sinners". On that basis, how in the world could a Christian claim to be better than an atheist?
The fact that the atheist is missing out on something important is not a reason not to be his or her friend. I really don't see your point.

Some Christians are nice enough to accept others, and forget that their atheist friends are gonna burn in hell. Thank God some people are nice. (I meant that figuratively)

I was in a romantic relationship with an atheist for 10 years. It worked because we both respected each other's beliefs and neither of us tried to change the other.
