Chong. it's precisely because of doubt like you have that it would not happen. Anything asked of God that is , in the spirit for the kingdom and unselfish will be answered by God if you have the faith of a mustard seed. No ask yourself. What benefit is it to the kingdom of Heaven if the sun were not to rise.

What you suggest is mind over matter. The faith found in the bible is not mental ascent but a belief that God is in control and that He will complete and uphold His word to man. Without the Word of God...no one can have "Faith". For Faith comes form hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Nothing happens on faith!
Faith is nothing but conditioning!
The reason things happen is people make choices and take actions! It is those choices and actions that deturmine if the effects that come will be possitive or negative!
Possitive choices & actions yield possitive results!
Negative choices & actions yield negative results!
It is through these things that we learn and grow!
No one grows without cause and effect!!
FAITH IS NOTHING BUT CONDITIONING!!

sometimes God acts, with no person believing
you need to leave room for God initiating something without us... after all, it's not about us, it's about Him!!! God made the universe without any of our help or faith
when we were helpless and sinners Jesus died for us and rose... with no faith on our part
there were individuals who were healed who did not have faith... cuz they were dead... and Jesus healed them.. with no faith on their part
faith is important, I will grant, but Jesus is the Author and Finisher of the faith... not us
bottom line... we need to have faith in God, not faith in faith remember what the three Jewish guys about to be thrown in the fiery furnace said "Our God is Able to save us...but even if He does not we will not bow to you"

Look at your verse more closely. Faith doesn't make things happen, it makes things possible to happen.
