This is important for us because Hebrew is the key to becoming more authentically Biblical. In Hebrew, the phrase,"and she shall call his name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins," is actually a play on words. "…and she shall call His name Yeshua for He will yoshea His people…(Matt.1:21). Both are derived from the root "yesha", to save. So Yeshua means savior, the implications of which are astounding.
Mat.1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Now, I'm not a Christian (though my parents are) I'm an atheist.I was going home from school today and saw some people preaching in the street and held up posters saying "If your not a Roman Catholic, you will go to hell" are there any other Catholics that find that statement a bit rude and inappropiate? To me, I think it will just drive people away from Christianity. Whats your view?

If I am a doctor, who has dedicated my life to saving peoples lives, and I do not believe in Jesus I will go to hell. If I am a murderer who has killed many people and perhaps raped and eaten young children as well, and I repent my sins and accept Jesus Christ as my savior I can go to heaven.

My question is this; I this action by God right...?

I am a very religious person. I am a Christian. A while back I made some mistakes and I asked God to forgive me, but I still feel extremely guilty. I feel like God is going to punish me for what I've done by giving me cancer or something. I need someone to help me because it has been about a couple months and I changed my life but the feelings will not go away. What can I do?

Not some long worded scientists pointing at some bone and saying "millions of years ago. "
I mean "proof" something we can look at and know for sure YEP THAT WAS ED FROM 60000000 YRS AGO.
anything that is not labeled (theoretical. )
Something you would bet your life on or the life of a child.
You dont really have to answer, I already know the answer just

because an infinite amount of time would have to elapse to get us where we are now? If the world was created, either by accident or from a divinity, how does one explain something coming from nothing or in God's case, how is he somehow exempt from the same sort of reasoning?

If I am a person living in a remote region of the world, and I have no knowledge of Christianity, when I die would God send me to hell and have me burn in it's fiery pits for all eternity...?

To rant and rave about murder and a number of other things is to come off as a hypocrite. You cannot say, "Oh I can't believe some people could commit murder" and then turn around and execute an unborn child is disgusting unjust, wrong, spineless, and murderous.

How can you actually kill a baby and put Women rights behind it. What... to justify your act.

"Oh you don't understand I don't want my child to suffer because I am financially unstable", or " No its because I am not ready yet, I too young and I need to think of my future..." blah blah blah. No! All I hear is I I I.... and I. Self fish and cowardly and fear makes you do things you would not find yourself doing.

Fear is the reason the world is consume with wrong. Fear has controlled lives, and it's time we overcome our fears and look for solutions. Because of fear we are now killing unborn babies and trying to justify it. God Bless. Love. Amen.

Christians always go to other people land in the name of God and give all the natives bibles and tell them that what they have been doing is wrong and that Christians are right. By the time the natives realize what is going on - The natives have all the bibles and the Christians have all the land?

Don't you think these evil, satanic , child molesting , atheists, non-belivers,and other non-christians have too many rights? If we allow them to continue their preaching they can turn a Christian Nation into an evil tyrranical godless nation. They are destroying America. Shouldn't they all be forced out of the U.S?

It was how they often greeted each other and a public demonstration of their faith. And it makes sense...if you believe that 'God' is the creator of everything, then you are a son of 'God'. I would add 'daughter' as an option, but Jews at the time of Jesus (if he ever existed) were generally extremely misognystic and certainly wouldn't allow their women to participate in any theological discussions, so it's unlikely that term was heard nearly as much. But the point remains, many modern Christians think Jesus' claim that he was 'Son of God' is testament to his divinity, but really it just indicates he was a practicing Jew around the time this whole legend got started.

What are your thoughts? What convinces you Jesus was divine or otherwise?

All humans on earth know that MUSLIMS are the only substantial threat in air travel. Is it fair to search non-muslims? After all, we are trying to prevent Islamic terrorism right? So why search non-muslims?

"Because non-muslims can do terror also".

Sure, anythings possible, but do we barricade every two-way road just because its "possible" that cars travelling in the opposite direction will become suicide drivers and crash you head on? Answer: No we dont because the threat is not SUBSTANTIAL, its very remote relative to other threats that should get money before that remote threat.

Discrimination, based on race is wrong and hideous. Discrimination based on beliefs is critical to survival! We do it all the time!

This is exactly what we mean by the insanity of political correctness...the denial of reality itself. Having contempt for racism is not an example of political correctness. Blindly dismissing the cause of Islamic terror is!
