What have you done to correct those mistakes? If they hurt others, you should make restitution of some sort.

The others are right. God HAS forgiven you. I know how you feel though. Lets just say a few years ago I did something very bad and felt guilty about it for months. I had prayed to God on a more than daily basis, but still I felt guilty. Then, I went into church and asked if I could talk to my minister privately. He ended up listening to me talk for over an hour. Afterwards I felt SO much better. It was like a weight was lifted from my soldiers.
Please, If you take one thing away from this answer that I have written, let it be that God doesn't punish people by giving them cancer, or any disease for that matter. You've probably heard this a million times before, but everything happens for a reason. You seem strong, you'll pull through. After all, you were strong enough to ask for help, one of the hardest things that anyone can do.
I will pray that you will defeat your cancer.
GOOD LUCK!

When you ask forgiveness God forgives you then forgets you sin. You must try and understand this and release yourself from this sin or it will consume you. Pray to God about your feelings and just try not to worry because if you are a firm believer God will not punish you, but He may test your faith so do not mistake hard times for punishment, because they are not punishment but a test of faith.

Fortunately- it's been well established by the thinking community, that god does not effect change in the natural laws of the universe. So- you feel guilty becuase of the values instilled in you by your religious upbringing (some would call it brainwashing), but that doesn't mean that god will actually punish you.
On the flip side- there's a strong correlation between stress and disease- so keep stressing out about the issue, and you'll drive yourself into poor health.

If you asked God for forgiveness and in your heart you let him have your sins, you are forgiven. Plain and simple. He doesn't want you to give them to him and keep hanging on to them. He has already forgotten them once you have asked for forgiveness.
It is ok to move on. The more you worry about things, the worse your anxiety becomes. Now it is time to pray for him to take your anxiety and worries away. Focus on good things. We all make mistakes and none of us are perfect. He has forgiven you if you truly meant it when you asked for forgiveness.
He loves everyone of us no matter what we do. He doesn't necessarily like what we do, that is why we have to ask for forgiveness and try to better our lives. He gives us the chance to get better everyday. That is his love and faith he has in us. We will let him down as in our human nature, and he still loves us.
He knows your heart and he knows you will continue to try your best to live in his will.

You simply need to forgive yourself. If you asked forgiveness from God, and you know that God has accepted it, then you've been forgiven. If I were you, I would find a minister I could talk to and get some counseling.

Don't worry, the Lord is gracious, and loving and forgives all. I assume you have repented and turned your life around. It is only the enemy that is condemning you, that is why you feel so guilty. Have you forgiven yourself yet? I believe that everything works together for good to those who Love Jesus. Check out Romans. If you truely believe in Him, he will forgive you.

God doesn't give people cancer as punishment for sin. It's your own conscience that's bothering you. Try volunteering somewhere to help others, its makes you feel good and it's a great cure for feelings of guilt.

What's the point of believing god is going to forgive you if you are going to still worry about. Christian doctrain says you are forgivin. You'll go to heaven. Maybe, appoligize to the people, or set right what you did.

God does not punish people that way. He allows things to happen in lives of the believer and non-believer. Who are you to say God will punish you? Get over your guilt and live until you die like everyone else.
