You're correct, and I believe that a lot of people are into making excuses that justify their liberal lifestyle. They want to have a solution available for their dysfunctional, immoral and piglike behavior.
Anyone who stands for sane laws and says that they can't do something is regarded as evil, or someone who is horrible in society. The reverse is true and this applies to them, of course.

The irony here is that I support the death penalty, yet I don't agree with abortion. I figure hey, those punks had a shot, and they blew it. An unborn child hasn't had his chance yet, however.
Ultimately, I do see situations where an abortion would be an acceptable move, primarily in cases where the mother's life is in danger. As for people who use it as birth control... well, that's pretty shameful. It is, of course, a necessary evil. Making laws against it won't stop it from occurring. Anyone who can remember back before abortions were legal will likely remember at least one story of a woman who almost died due to an infection caused by a black market abortion.

I am really not sure how i feel about this issue. I have heard 2 very good sides. 1) its wrong, and it never gives innocent children a chance to grow up and live a life they could have had.
2) Human beings are godly, they all have a piece of God in them. Which means in reality, they are caplable of Godly things. And that even if the baby is aborted, that it was meant to be here, and it will come into the world one way or another, although its body is killed, its spirit and soul is not, and that ill be born from someone else. So im not really sure..... but those are the two sides i have heard.

I totally agree, but if someone has had an abortion, we should not judge them. We should pray for them and love them unconditionally. We know that fear does not come from the Lord, but from the enemy. All have fallen and come short of the glory of God. We all must never forget where He found us. I am a mother of four and have lost one to miscarriage. Losing that child was hard for me, but the Lord gave me another child. We don't know the torment women have suffered from aborting a child and always have compassion. It doesn't mean we agree with them, but He did not come to condemn the world, but the world through Him might be saved. May the Lord bless you.

So, it's right to let an innocent child suffer?
The people who have abortions do so because they either do not want the baby or cannot support it. If they do not want this baby, then the parent might become abusive to it and hate it. Think of the book "A Child Called It".
If they cannot support the baby, then the child will live in conditions that are... unfavorable. Either it will go into an adoptive system or will be raised in a way that is substandard.
Either way has the potential for mental harm to the child.
Besides, if a baby is aborted, doctors could go and collect stem cells to reseach them. Then, they could find ways of curing horrible diseases. This will protect the future.
It's not selfish for them to want a better future for their children than they are able to provide. Sometimes, abortion is really the best option.

Basically speaking, wearing a condom is keeping the same baby from being born. The same thing any other anticonceptic (if that's a word) does.
We've accepted the fact that having a child is a choice the mother and the father of the child should make, and which should not be forced down their throat by "protecting" the rights of an embryo without any form of consciousness that wouldn't have been created in the first place if a proper anticonceptic had been used.

I'm Catholic! But hey I was raised open minded! :)
I believe that there are valid reasons for women and girls to have abortions.
1. Rape causing severe emotional imbalance. Suicidal tendencies etc. Fine in my books!
2. Mother's health. She will most likely die. Now I was told that with my daughter and told the doc to stuff it. This approach isn't for everyone and is safer to abort! Religious beliefs should be thrown out on this one! Fine in my books!
3. Child's health. IE major deformity like skin doesn't close over or organs are not within the body . It has happened. Fine in my books
4. Abused girl. Can't save her childhood but may help with the sanity and living in the long run. She's been thru enough. Fine in my books.
5. Incest. Child. Fine in my books!
6. Threat of ones own life. IE Boyfriend, husband threatening if you don't and you can't get away. (locals won't help go higher up!)
I do not believe in abortion for birth control. Or inconvenience. Or bad timing. Or financial. Etc and so on. Live with it and place for adoption. Many in this world cannot have children. They'll take care of the little one.

You clearly state your opinion. And I agree with most of what you said. But here's where I can help you understand what my experience has been. Over the years I have known many women who got abortions. I have worked intensely with them and have off erred better destinies. And yet they still got the abortion. And you know what? I have never come across one who did not have regret.
Imagine if one those aborted could have become the next Billy Graham and would have brought thousands to give their lives to Christ.
Stick to your beliefs...a little crazy...but I think I like it. Peace

maybe the mother thinks the baby would be miserable because the relationship between the mother and father is a poor one. If a baby is aborted, the soul does not die. If you were aborted, your life would be different, but you would be still be born to a different family, and you would not understand the difference. Maybe you were aborted, maybe not. The point is, people are allowed to make mistakes. To err is human, to forgive is divine. It doesn't matter if it is right or wrong, forgiveness is a virtue either way.
Have compassion for a mother that has to make that difficult choice.

It's not OK to abort a fetus, it's just more wrong for the goverment or laws to tell women what they can and can't do regardig their body. It's the lesser of two evils.
If you feel qualified to judge the reasons that people give to terminate their pregnancy then you certainly have a lot of pride and self-confidence. I do not feel qualified to judge. When I think about abuse and rape and debilitating disease and other issues like that I CERTAINLY don't feel qualified to judge.
Humility is a virtue and wrath is a sin. Sometimes you have to stand back and let people make decisions about their own reproduction even if you disagree with them.
