I was listening to a sermon on how Christians should love people that the world rejects but a lot of people have different personalities which makes it hard to do. What is the hardest personality to get past when you are trying to show someone that you care? Some people would say that hurting people hurt others and that they are the hardest people to love

Also, if they are illegal immigrants wouldn't you be more concerned with getting work than turning a church into a mosque.

Why didn't it predict any important things like the printing press, trains or the telephone?

Predicting the rise and fall of empires is as easy as predicting the the future of romantic relationships.... What about the hard stuff?

Whole galaxies colide with one another. Stars die out and go Supernova. Black holes are formed and destroy everything in their wake. Comets and asteroids smash into planets and moons.

Of all the planets and moons in the Universe, probably 99.9% of them are far too volitile to support life.

And on Earth (where life is possible) tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanos and other such phenomana wreak havok with the life that does exist.

The work of a "god" ?

HARDLY!

My wife and I are going with a group from our church, to help rebuild people's houses in New Orleans.

The Southern Baptists have set up a program, so that groups from churches all over the country can come, have a place to stay and eat. They set up the work, so any time a group can come, there is a project ready to go.

The goal is 2000 homes, and 20 churches rebuilt in 2 years.

I wonder if other denominations have similar programs? It would be interesting to see what other Christian folks are doing to invest in the lives of the people of New Orleans.

I am looking for information about the four animal-headed angels in the bible. If I recall correctly, one of the angels had the head of a lion But the rest is a bit vague in my memory.
If they had names that would be a great start, or what part of the bible can i find them, or even their significance.
Any info would be much appreciated. Thank You

I don't buy it. I know people who have been to jail and think that they are not rehabilitated members of society because they accepted "jesus" into their lives. Despite this fact the criminal behaviour continues, they think that because they are "born again." They are good human beings. I just don't buy the born again theory. What do you think.

I hear all the time that Jesus died ont he cross for our sins. How did him hanging on a cross and dying slowly have anything to about my sin. I dont even see how they are connected one bit.

I have heard that this is an occult practice where the Quran is used to subjugate Jinn. I am not saying its Islamic or Muslim, I am just saying that what I've heard is that their practices primarily use the Quran and have a very Muslim theme to it with respect to the practice. I'd like to know what it is.

All of us here dispute creation vs. evolution. Why is it taken seriously when Darwin himself said in "Origin of Species" that if we can't find predecessor fossils to the Cambrian fossils his theory not be taken seriously?I so far cannot find any transitional fossils that have not already been debunked.Even the former noted evolutionist George Gaylord Simpson called the sudden appearance of many types of complex life forms in the Cambrian rocks the "major mystery of the history of life.
I'm beginning to see more and more as I read along that Darwin himself didn't believe it was true.

Please,only serious answers.

I've held it long enough but what kind of book is the Quran? It says kill all infidels and non-believers and don't make friends with Christians (I'm one of them) and Jews because Allah doesn't guide them.

The difference between Timothy McVeigh and Osama Bin Laden is that Timothy wasn't following the Bible (at least the New Testament which we follow) and Osama Bin Laden was following the Quran.

I don't hold prejudice against Muslims and this question will probably get deleted but at least you know my thoughts right now.

maashaallah brothers and sisters, we have been keen on using the internet to spread islam like wildfire, and we get tens of thousands of converts a day, but the unbelievers here are giving us a very hard time, always insulting our religion and our Prophet PBUH. my question is, how can we use Yahoo! Answers to wipe out misconceptions and lies about islam, educate people about our great religion, and get even more converts? this would be a great thing to do for the Ummah, and we need to help each other...any ideas?
