I hear all the time that Jesus died ont he cross for our sins. How did him hanging on a cross and dying slowly have anything to about my sin. I dont even see how they are connected one bit.

Sin doesn't exist. It is not a substance that can be removed from something. Good and bad are judgements. We still judge each other.

Sin is basically a list of rules created by Christians indicating what is wrong to do. It is a strict list that nobody can adhere to. This helps Christianity by making Christians feel guilty for not being able to live up to those rules.

The rules, themselves, are a mixed bag and contradictory. If you look through the Bible for rules on what God considers right and wrong you get confusing results. Most people just concentrate just concentrate on the 10 commandments and perhaps the "Golden Rule". However, those are rather generic and really only reflect what happens to be considered moral in society. How those rules are interpretted change as society evolves.

Really, there are no fixed rules for what is right or wrong. We each determine our own morals for ourselves. We get input from society, our culture, family, friends, books, and leaders, and even instincts, but ultimately they are our own set. They are useful because they allow us to live amongst each other. But we don't all have to follow exactly the same list to live in peace. However, it does help to come together to figure out some baselines that we all agree on. These are instilled in our laws, which change as our societal values change.

Dying on the cross did not remove sin...it was the shedding of the blood. Just as God required animal sacrifices (shedding of blood) year after year under the Mosaical law to atone for sin, God required the shedding of Jesus' blood once and for all to atone for our sin. We come into contact with this atoning blood through the process of baptism (Rom. 6:4)...we die with Him and are raised to walk a new life.

God always required a Blood sacrifice, In the OT it was once a year. But he needed a perfect sinless Blood sacrifice that would wash away our sins forever, & the Life that is in that perfect Blood of Jesus Christ, Was our attonemnt, It was not the dying, But the Blood, & not only the Blood, But the resurrection, Because the bible says if Christ be not risen, we are still in our sins, But Christ did rise again & sent us the Holy Ghost as A seal & proof that we have been redeemed.

Jesus Christ took on all the sins of the world and its through the Grace of God that we are forgiven. God cannot look upon sin and Jesus Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Jesus done the hard part all we have to do is accept Him.

Because Jesus was 100% man and 100% God, He took the sins of this world upon His shoulders and washed our sins through His blood. He suffered on the cross because of our sins and then because of the pain He had. It was an act of love from God, He gave His only son for us humans and let Him die on the cross, so that we can live.

To understand the significance of Christ's death we need to go back to the garden of Eden.
Jehovah created Adam as a perfect man who was designed to live forever. He placed him in a beautiful garden and told him to multiply and fill the earth. This was God's plan for mankind. To live in perfect health for all eternity in a paradise earth.
A consequence of Adam's sin was that he lost all that and eventually grew old and died.As offspring of Adam and Eve,we too all age,get sick and die because we have inherited sin and death from them.
The only way this situation could be rectified was if another perfect life was offered to buy back so to speak what Adam had lost.However,amongst mankind there was no one equal as we are all imperfect,so Jehovah in his love for mankind,instructed his only begotten son,Christ Jesus to come to earth as a perfect man and offer himself as a ransom sacrifice,a proprietory sacrifice in order that any who exercise faith in that ransom may have their sins forgiven and enjoy the prospect of eternal life that is to come once the earth is cleared of all wickedness.Ps.37:9-11,29;
Pr.2:21;John3:16,17:3;Rev.21:3,4

It wasn't only on the cross that he paid the price for our sins, also in the garden of gesthemanie when he bled from every pore. Also it didn't remove sin, he just paid the physical debt for us. When you sin, you need to repent and then there also needed to be a physical price paid, Jesus paid that price for us so that we wouldn't have to, but it only works if you repent, otherwise he suffered for nothing and you still have sins.
Hope it helps!

From my understanding of the Bible, because Jesus is part of God and had never sinned, he was able to take all of our sins upon himself and pay our debt. He was our sacrifice. Because God is the judge, he has the right to decide that Jesus's blood was sufficient to pay our debt.

b4 Jesus died for us, animals were sacraficed to remove sin, but once the Son of God died, His blood cleansed ALL sin. He died so that we didn't have to. HE died so we can have an advocate with the Father. His dying made it so we can go straight to God. We can live because He died. He overcame death and hell and has the victory and you can too:) God bless you.

First off, read about the sacrificial system in the first five books of the bible. Jesus, came as a pure sacrifice. It says all throughtout the prophets that God was not pleased with the blood of bulls and goats, but he still required payment for our sin. The payment for sin is death. Jesus died for us. Went to hell and was raised from their as a pure spotless lamb.

Jesus' death on the cross was a sacrifice that otherwise would have been performed on a lamb without blemish. In order to save all mankind from sin God instead sent his Son to die on the cross for all mankind once and for all. No more animal sacrifices again.
