Whole galaxies colide with one another. Stars die out and go Supernova. Black holes are formed and destroy everything in their wake. Comets and asteroids smash into planets and moons.

Of all the planets and moons in the Universe, probably 99.9% of them are far too volitile to support life.

And on Earth (where life is possible) tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanos and other such phenomana wreak havok with the life that does exist.

The work of a "god" ?

HARDLY!

I'm not debating the God angle here, but I'm curious as to why you think that these events you describe are "flaws". Creation is born out of destruction. Look at the "Big Bang" for example. Maybe a comet destroyed the dinosaurs, but if it hadn't, would humans have evolved to be the dominate life form on the planet? A hurricane may destroy something today but who know what effect it will have had over a thousand or a million years?

THERE is a design THERE is a DESIGNER a plan A PLANNER besides everything you describe in your question has very distinct purposes 1 tornadoes= sure the weak peoples lives but they also clean the ground as well 2hurricanes= bring fresh life into the ocean life food clears waste things of that nature 3 volcanoes as bad as they are they also relive the pressure from under the earth for which life can still sustain the exact balance it needs ......you say how can GOD that loves us do this to us .... i say that GOD does these things for a particular purpose in mind all these things happen because of a GOD that knows what he is doing

I mostly agree with you. It seems that alot of what is out there is part of the natural processes. However, i do not close myself off to the notion of an omnipotent creator. The fact to the matter is that we do not know the truth one way or another. Personally i don't believe that we will ever know. All we have are theories; The big bang, religion, evolution, etc...we have no true facts.
As for all of these "flaws" . They are all part of nature. Remember that death begets life. No matter how horrible it all may seem, it is all part of the natural process and something that we as well as the rest of nature have to live with. Whether or not it is an explosion, a creation by some intelligence, both, or something entirely different becomes less relevent when you put out the fact that we ARE here.
P.S.
Your avatar is funny. You had me laughing this morning. Thank you.

The next thing you're going to ask is , "Why doesn't the sun shine 24 hrs a day?" Some things are just the way they are. and we don't always have to know everything. It's always easier for us to blame someone else for our short comings.. in this case, you blame God. These accusations have become over-rated. He (God) never said that the earth will stand perfect and forever in the eyes of man. We have been granted a privelege to live on such a beautiful earth with such beautiful sites like the ocean, the sea, the mountains, snow, sun, moon, etc. and it has always been our job to keep it clean. If the ice caps are melting, rivers e drying up, the sun is literally killing people.....we have no one else to blame but ourselves. Can't you think of anything smart to ask?

What can be said....with such a jaded mind...no matter what answer you get you will in your mind not agree,,that God created all things....even while enough evidence exists...AND WHY...you will still believe what you want.....and then when you stand before him...and He asks you what did you do with My Son??...all the logic ..and all the exscuses...will not matter because it will be to late...

How hard was it to understand that the created beings God created ..rebelled against him(lucifer)...and that they were cast into a world that WAS pure..and beautiful..(still is )and without blemish..and when he (lucifer) got on the scene he brought about the confusion...that we see today...although his power is limited...thank God for a loving God that shows His power to and for His people...the power to deliver,,,set free ,,heal...save..supply all our needs....comfort us in the hard times and gives us joy unspeakable........He stands up for us when our enemies come against us...makes ways out of no ways...who wouldn't serve a God like that....

But all you see is that God made imperfections..and flaws...How sad...all I can say...is...please don't let it be said "to late"......

Is this question so you can validate your reason of not believing in God?

A lot of what goes on here on earth is due to man, not God.

Our way of thinking is not God's way of thinking. Nor is our time like God's time.

Stop trying to figure out the whys and start thinking of ways to better the earth and universe in which God created.

What may be perceived as a flaw by one may be seen as perfection by another.

As for a possibility for some of your mention of weather I would have to think of good old Global Warming as a factor something that was created by humanity!

If God existed, I'd be too ashamed to admit it. Either that or there definately is a Devil too.... but since this is getting too complicated, I'll just stick with my original thought: there is no God and all that violence is caused by science. It's what science and nature do. No scapegoat needed!
