why can't the same states and schools teach the Bible. Give equal time to the Bible, the qu'ran, and evolution.

Seems like a pretty important issue to me. But some say it's the grave/unconsciousness and some say it's burning torture. Seems like the bible should be more clear on this.

Thanks! =0)

Why would anyone assume just because I, or someone else disagrees with them that it's hate? I see that a lot here, and though I DO see a lot of hateful things, I dont think disagreeing means hate by default. I love a few people with all my heart, yet I dont agree with everything they do or think. That doesnt get in the way of me loving them. No one agrees with me on everything, but I know it isnt hate.

The most popular "hate" argument is that many Christians don't agree with homosexuality. Well fine, why does anyone have to? Does it mean they have to hate them then? Yes, some Christians HATE Homosexuals, and so do some from other religions and Atheists as well. But why assume that disagreeing means hate in that regard? Doesn't that burn any bridges to understanding either side?

My best friend in the whole world is gay, and I dont agree with his lifestyle but I would happily take a bullet for him. Do you think I hate him?

... they wouldn't find themselves the target of so much contempt nowadays?

I mean, Quakers manage to keep it. So do the Amish. We like the Amish and Quakers. Why couldn't the Crusaders keep it too? The Inquisition? Dubya?

So why is killing so easy to justify when it suits you?

NB I'm not accusing all Christians of being killers, because that would be absurd (it's absurd to me that I even have to say so). Only that for those of us for whom killing another human being is ALWAYS wrong, the silence, excusing or justification among Christians on this apparently important matter is surprising. And I wonder if any of them can relate that fact with the lack of respect they face sometimes.

first of all, how could looking backwards at amazing destruction behind you warrant death from god and secondly, god didn't tell lot's wife herself not to look. god told lot and told him to tell his family as well. if someone told you to look backwards because god said so, wouldn't it be understandable, not being told from god himself, but from an imperfect human, that you could be slightly skeptical of a command from a husband, thinking perhaps it could be hear-say?

Explain my work:
As a botanist, I spend a lot of time identifying plants. Often, species of plants interbreed with other species (but only slightly). That is, some species (A) may interbread with Species (B) 10% of the time, but it only interbreeds with species (C) 1% of the time. Why does this happen? What does this mean for the "kinds" that so many creationist point to? In other words, why does hybridization happen?

For clarification: most creationists maintain that species do not evolve. Yet hybridization is evidence that things are always in the process of evolving. In general, species that are closer to one another will interbreed more, those that are less close, will intrebreed less. Eventually, you get to a point in time where the two will not interbreed (like corn and roses) and they are very distinct species (or in this case classes).

I have always loved men. My best friend has always loved men. Both of us have been through a lot of jerks.

We have talked about this several times. We have been dear friends for almost 30 years. If we could only choose to be sexually attracted to each other, life could be perfect. We already love each other. We never fight or argue. Well, unfortunately, sexuality is not a choice so we remained alone for a long time.

BTW, neither of us has ever been with a woman because we are attracted to men.

It seems to me that they could have chosen a name that wasn't being used by so many people already.

I'm a Christian but I don't understand why, in Genesis, after Adam and Eve had sinned and were hiding, when God came into the garden, He asked them where they were. Why did He have to ask? If He already knew, why did he ask them where they were?

Don't Read this, don't watch that, don't smoke this and whatever you do, don't have sex! If they want to live in a fantasy world, that's fine but leave me out of it. I'm not interested in a threesome with them and their invisible Jesus. I don't need some religious idiot telling me what to do and the same goes for any liberal that aligns themselves with similar views.

I've found this to be the strategy to avoid punishment by God. Occasionally he catches me before I have the chance to act. I guess it is because of sloth that he beats me to it. Sometimes it is because I have a client though.

Does God punish theists too?

Do people really not realize that fornication is a sin? Or do people just love God in word only now? I see it all the time..."I love God, but I'll go have sex whenever I want because I also love my boyfriend/girlfriend." So what you're saying is you love your bf/gf more than God...?

I say choose one or the other. Either profess your love to God and AT LEAST TRY and do what He wants you to, or just admit you really don't care about God and go do your thing...whatever it is.

Every time i enter in to Phylosophical thougts about this subjet, it takes me to very irrational reasoning. God created us, and as soon as He finished, we felt in the arms of satan????
Were we created to be in the middle of Love and punishment ?, because if we were, than i would say " I FEEL LIKE A GUINEA PIG"
God could have prevented the fall, but yet he allowed it, satan did not come and mess things up, because according to the superiority of God, nothing and no one can be able to go over it.

I remembered being taught when I was young and even now to stay away from the use of religious symbols or items as this may lead to some form of idol worship that could compromise the belief of the one true God. And yet despite Muslims being taught that, surprisingly the crescent moon and star is being accepted as the symbol of Islam.

what are your thoughts? Since no one read the end of my last post, here are MY thougts first thing before you read the email. I believe this is a misrepresentation of the God I know. My God is full of love and grace and has been known to discipline but I don't believe He is so bent on getting people to believe in Him that he would kill someone for not believing He existed or for speaking badly of Him. How many people do you know that take God's name in vain every day or speak out against Him in one way or another? Have they died recently? Probably not. I think this email is sad but I wanted to post it on here just to kind of take a survey and see what your thoughts are. Please don't think that I believe this or back it up in any way. Don't point your anger or answer in my direction as I did not make this list up. Ok here it is:
