He will eventually destroy satan. You have to remember the situation at the time when satan rebelled. There were more angels than humans, so through the eyes of the angels that were still on God's side, if God would just destroy satan and the humans and start fresh, the angels would think that satan was correct, and that maybe humans were better off governing themselves. So God lovingly did not destroy everything and start over, rahter he is proving satan wrong as we speak, and will in the future destroy him and all the humans who do not accept God as ruler. This way all of the prophecies will be completed and the problems be over with.

Satan didn't challenge God's power, or ability to destroy Satan. He challenged God's right to rule. That is why God has allowed humans all this time to try different forms of government. The point has been made, and very soon God will step in to fix things here on earth and destroy Satan forever.

Because obviously religious people lied when they made God all powerful. He could not destroy Satan, which would appear to be the logical choice.
Got to love the religious morons who say this is all part of God's plan. That translates to "I have no bloody clue, and am not willing to look at anything logically. I want to continue to believe in my childish stories and God."

If God destroyed satan and there was not temptation from satan to participate in the evil around us then you would not be choosing.. You would be succoming to a lack of options. God, doesn't want mindless drones, he wants you to choose him. Just like you don't want a husband/wife that is there because he/she has no choice. God, like you, wants to be choosen.
