I think when you speak of Baal being evil, you are associating him with the teachings of Christianity, look at it from the perspective of adherents of Baal, I am sure for them Christianity would be evil, and as far as the punctuation is concerned, well that's the logo selected by Yahoo, a proper noun, which as per the rules of grammar,(or maybe convention?) the first letter has to be upper case.

No, we capitalize the "Y" in Yahoo for it is a proper name. It's a well-known basic rule of English that proper names are capitalized.
