I have always loved men. My best friend has always loved men. Both of us have been through a lot of jerks.

We have talked about this several times. We have been dear friends for almost 30 years. If we could only choose to be sexually attracted to each other, life could be perfect. We already love each other. We never fight or argue. Well, unfortunately, sexuality is not a choice so we remained alone for a long time.

BTW, neither of us has ever been with a woman because we are attracted to men.

I Wish I had a real good answer for you. I know how close friends can be loved.
I got blown up. An Iraqi road side bomb blew me up. My leg was destroyed and so was any chance of sex. I have a friend I dearly love but there is no hope of really being with her because I now have a tube.
Love is strange and how we fall in love is strange. I wish I could choose a sexuality again. If only to have one.
I do feel for you and personally I think just loving can be enough, being secure in the fact that she is there for you.

I think sexuality is a choice, and I very, very, very happily choose to be heterosexual. One of the things that I'm proudest in in life is the ability to be a father and between my wife and I, the blessing it has been to have our biological child. Nothing against adoption, but for us, we're incredibly happy to have started a family.

Our bodies were made to most efficiently work sexually with the other sex, therefore to say that sexuality is a birth condition, wouldn't make any sense from the standpoint of humankind, evolution, and the continuing existence of humans.

For the christian homosexuals...where would we all be if Noah was gay?

We already DO choose our sexuality! It's our GENDER that's predetermined by God through our genetic codes. People choose their sexuality every day. The question is, do they make the SPIRITUALLY CORRECT choice? Face it, if it were possible for us to be "born gay", there's be no distinction between the sexes or sexuality, rendering the institute of marriage virtually impotent except in instances of fidelity. The Bible outlines what is SPIRITUALLY correct, especially in the book of Romans. The desires of the flesh, whether they are hetero or homosexual are among Satan's strongest tools he uses to confuse us with and corrupt the union of marriage and the proprieties of sex. We can't have our cake and eat it too when it comes to our sexuality; we have to be what God made us and pray for His will to be done, instead of our desires.

I never thought of becoming a lesbian ever in my life. I love men, I love everything about them, even the way they piss me off. lol. I couldn't get along that well with a woman to stay with her for more than 24 hours. After that the novelty would wear off, plus there'd be 0% chance of sex.

No,Every human being is called to receive a gift of divine sonship, to become a child of God by grace. However, to receive this gift, we must reject sin, including homosexual behavior—that is, acts intended to arouse or stimulate a sexual response regarding a person of the same sex. The Catholic Church teaches that such acts are always violations of divine and natural law.

Homosexual desires, however, are not in themselves sinful. People are subject to a wide variety of sinful desires over which they have little direct control, but these do not become sinful until a person acts upon them, either by acting out the desire or by encouraging the desire and deliberately engaging in fantasies about acting it out. People tempted by homosexual desires, like people tempted by improper heterosexual desires, are not sinning until they act upon those desires in some manner.
Many homosexuals argue that they have not chosen their condition, but that they were born that way, making homosexual behavior natural for them.

But because something was not chosen does not mean it was inborn. Some desires are acquired or strengthened by habituation and conditioning instead of by conscious choice. For example, no one chooses to be an alcoholic, but one can become habituated to alcohol. Just as one can acquire alcoholic desires (by repeatedly becoming intoxicated) without consciously choosing them, so one may acquire homosexual desires (by engaging in homosexual fantasies or behavior) without consciously choosing them.

Yes, could if I would; but I don't have a choice as to who I am attracted to.

But no, I wouldn't change it, I think women are much more attractive. ;-)

I never had a choice.

I never woke up one morning and said, "I want to have sex with women".

It doesn't work that way, you naturally find yourself attracted to one gender or another.

Sexuality may be a product of environment and genes, but it sure as hell isn't choice.

Well if it feels right, do it. If it doesn't hurt anyone, where's the bad? It's not like humanity will die out if we don't all do it within marriage and only for children. I hope the two of you stay happy together without guilt.
