And be willing to hold OURSELVES in judgement for what we chose to do?

And try to be considerate to others feelings.?

And try to battle with and deal with our seal-afflicted afflictions?

And to try and be truth in ones-self?

And be thankful and grateful and respectful for the Miracle gift of life, GIVEN to us?

"Genesis is deeply symbolic, and cannot be grasped by a literal interpretation,". "Its 'tree of life' is the human body. The spinal cord is like an upturned tree, with man's hair as its roots, and afferent and efferent nerves as branches. The tree of the nervous system bears many enjoyable fruits, or sensations of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. In these, man may rightfully indulge; but he was forbidden the experience of sex, the 'apple' at the center of the bodily garden.

"The 'serpent' represents the coiled-up spinal energy which stimulates the sex nerves. 'Adam' is reason, and 'Eve' is feeling. When the emotion or Eve-consciousness in any human being is overpowered by the sex impulse, his reason or Adam also succumbs.

My last question spurred another question

Are you being approached by Christians and other religious groups a lot or is it 'that one time' that really set you off. I understand that a lot of you feel the bible is illogical. If you are being approached by a lot of religious people do you feel you are attracting them in some way towards you? Also, could you explain what you believe in (if you believe in anything)?

The reason I'm asking is because I somehow ended up in an acedemic debate/ roundtable (trust me, I DIDN'T ask for this) and I really don't understand the thought process of atheists. I have been very spiritual for as long as I have been able to create an intelligent thought and sentence and have been a devout Christian for many years now. Before I respond and present myself I want to understand the atheist individual. I have read literature but, to me, that only gives a general classification.

Again, let's try to keep it an intelligent discussion by not bashing.

In Genesis 1:6-7 we learn that God made water, then he made land. What effect did the flood have on the salt level in this water?

If God made the oceans salty to begin with it seems like all that pure fresh rain would have diluted them. If God made the ocean as freshwater, then how did it get salty? We all know that decaying bodies would not produce all that salt.

Perhaps the rain that caused the flood was saltwater.

the nature of religion shows that what happens to you when you die is between you and your belief structure(God). If I believe in God and someone else doesn't, all I could morally do is hope they figure it out. I would have absolutely no right to interfere with their life, even if I think it is immoral (assuming the immoralities are hurting no one but the immoralist) because any conclusion that is reached about this persons ultimate fate is between them and God.It may behoove me to try to intervene, but getting to the point of name calling, shunning, or attacking is hypocrisy at its highest level, yet we see it every day from many religious people that are otherwise kind. Yet why do fundamentalists forget that they are wo/men and not holy instruments of God? We are fallible and each persons concept of religion and God and what it means is unique to them. Why not leave the punishments and judgments to God (who is infallible) since human fallibility could, and does, effect your judgment?

Do you not think that your religion is number one in this world? And, should i not think that mine is number one? And do you not feel your language is a wonderful one? And in the same way will i not consider mine, the wonderful language in all? So until 'you' and 'me' exist, and 'yours' and 'ours' are present here, how can be the total peace and acceptance for 'others' in this world? And more and more new organisations, religions, political parties etc., etc., are creating the distance between the other man of opposite groups. Do you under stand the fact? And what is the remedy for it? How, as we all, the human beings can live in this world without any conflicts and wars? And is there any way for our unity as a whole?
