Evil is a term with supernatural connotations, used to describe persons with attitudes and behaviors that could be considered detrimental to the advancement of our society. If someone kills a large number of people, for example, he/she might be psychotic, sociopathic, or psychopathic, but some people will call that "evil".

A judgement of an action or thing by another person that something is bad. When someone says that something is evil, it says more about the person than the thing. Evil is not a substance. You can't objectively determine the amount of evil in something or someone.

Still, people like to pretend that evil is some sort of taint that something or someone has. However, it really is in the eye of the beholder. One man's evil is another man's benevolence.

I read this in a book once. The character stated that evil is the utimate greed. Being so greedy that only wanting something u can't have will bring your downfall. But theres another legend somewhere that Satan became Satan b/c he was so vain about his appearence but I guess u could call that vanity greed.
A proven movie character for this could be Kravin from Underworld1-2. The poor guy got decapitated just for wanting to rule both clans and his attempted at killing the leaders of it. So this is a leasson in not being greedy.

Evil is that which violates or goes against the social contract of the time.

Human sacrifice is considered evil. The incans did not consider it evil, and while it's easy for us to sit here and condemn it, in the incan empire, it was good, because it maintained the social contract.
