In the old testament it was what they did under the LAW and was acceptable punishment for disobedience to something God clearly said to obey. We don't live under the law today, but grace. It is no longer acceptable to punish a child's disobedience by death. God gives them grace, but they will reap what they have sowed. The only unforgivable sin is the lying against the Holy Ghost. Read the Bible for the explaining of that one.

why the hell would you want to kill your kids just because they are disobedient? were you 100% obedient at all times to your parents? if you say yes, you're lying. God's examples that you're supposed to follow are in the ten commandments and in jesus.
its an unforgivable sin if you are just using salvation as an easy out of something you're really not sorry for. if God wants to kill his children, then it is his prerogative. he baked the cake, and if he wants to, he can eat it, or smash it with his fist. he can do whatever he wants. why? because he's God. religion doesn't exist for you to have an excuse to do something awful. remember those ten commandments? those are your rules that are there for you, as a human, to follow. the bible explicitly says so. nowhere in the bible, old or new testament, does it say that its okay for you to violate the ten commandments, even if your action mimics God's. God can do whatever he damn well pleases. You cannot.

A child being disobedient NEVER would be cause for killing them. If you can't make your children behave then seek help but murder is not the answer. So unless you want to burn in hell for eternity I would try some other form of discipline.

The problem is that god can get away with more than humans can. I mean he impregnated the virgin mary and didn't have to pay child support, he kills the first born some times, among many other things. He's a jerk. But uh I would say that you really shouldn't kill your kids.

Killing your children is against the law of the land and God has told us to follow the law of the land.

if you want to kill your children you have bigger problems than asking a question on Yahoo questions and losing 5 points.

Good theoretical question...if we're supposed to follow Jesus' teachings (Treat others as you want to be treated...) are we supposed to follow everthing? If we did that....would there be anyone left on Earth, though?
