Nobody should attempt to influence or change each other beliefs.

I do agree that sometimes there needs to be less control of religious influences when it comes to certain situations. I feel that stem cell research should exist and continue. Why is it that it is ok to clone animals yet it is some moral issue to take an unfertilized stem cell that is not comparable to lets say an unborn child.

It becomes a delusion in situations as I am offering

They should leave people to their own delusions as long as it does not get anyone hurt. For example, if a religion were to say that people who blasphemed the name of God should be put to death (as one well-known religion has said), then the atheists should speak out against it.

As long as the people aren't proselytizing, leave 'em be. Just ensure that there are good educational systems in place and let things develop on their own. Religion is on the decline already. It is better to let people come to the truth on their own than force it down their throat -- or have we atheists learned nothing from Christian and Muslim tactics and our own reactions to those tactics?

The more you force a philosophy down someone's throat, the more they'll vomit it right back up on you.

Eh, I do a little of both. It's a daunting task to try to bring so many to reality. Plus, some of them are probably better off thinking they're being watched by a diety with punishment on his mind. Not everyone is well adjusted enough to have a funtional moral center without fear of a "god" of some kind.

If you refer to it like that, you are acting the same way some religions act in the way they want to control others with their own beliefs. I've met athiests who are just as pushy with their own beliefs as religious people. Everyone needs to mind their own business and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing.

I don't think they care one way or the other. Atheism is not a religion like Christianity where they are trying to get people into the fold. It is a label for people who don't believe in God or the concept of God so they are not united in their lack of belief like religious people would like to think
